Who is worth following? There are known current or former Stoke City forum posters on there? I don't tend to use it for football...might give it a try. Any recommendations?

I recommend not using twitter to follow current/former forum posters, although you do seem to be obsessed with them, if that's your bag crack on, though generally, if you already use those forums, you're not going to find anything new. Actually in response to "I don't tend to use it for football", ignore forum posters completely, in general, they know fuck all about football Peace and Love

Never use it. Don't give a shit what celebs have to say or footballers for that matter. It's one of the curses of our generation that some nomark can post some crap on twitter and apparently everyone has to take note of it as if it matters.
Just another reason for twats to gawp at their phones all fucking day long.

There is plenty of shite on Twitter but there is also lots of people (and organisations, bands, journalists, comedians, etc etc) worth following on there as well. Also as a news source, it's quicker than anything else.

Cliffy You said there are known Stoke City Forum posters on there, then followed it with "I don't tend to use it for football", I'm simply suggesting if you do want to use it for football (as your reply suggests) you're not going to find anything new following Forum posters, as Funks has suggested, there's plenty of great news sources out there. I know you're harmless, you sign of with your username as if you think we'll be unsure who has just posted Disclaimer: Note the winky, means I can post bitchy comments but claim it's just some tongue in cheek japery without comeback

Seems to me like it's become the new facebook, which, strangely, has improved immensely since all the kids fucked off it to instagram and twitter etc ;D
But then I am an old bastard who's too long in the tooth to give a shite about all this stuff. I just don't see the need.

Could it be that there is something else troubling you? Something bud .... Just about fucking EVERYTHING troubles me nowadays. Living in a country run by CUNTS and populated by those fucking wrong uns and those Islamasexual sorts is a start, and before anyone starts on the homophobe stuff YES I am a homophobe. Houses scare me which is why I live in a caravan. Twitter - Tight Jeans - Manbags - Mens facial product - Cycling - Metrosexualism = Brown Hatters.

The older I get, the more irrelevant I've found it. As Funk says, it's quite handy if you just follow companies / people / bands or whatever you're interested if you're looking for news. Other than that, it's a hive of cunts. But lots of decent people use twitter I hear you say?

Ive had an acc. since 2008 and I use it all the time, just not for Stoke. It's standard.

There are some genuinely great accounts on Twitter, honestly! You don't have to see any of the shite because you just see who you choose to follow. If they're spouting shite just unfollow, but there are lots of people and things who are worth following. And there are also some very funny accounts on there as well, from actual comedians to parody accounts.

I just make a list of all Stoke related stuff, from players to official club stuff, ticket news. I use FB as well but to me they're totally different, FB I use for friends and family, Twitter for news and interesting links to articles and discussions.

I always assumed twitter was a load of bollocks until I actually started to use it. Follow the right accounts and it's a good source of information, humour and pictures of naked ladies.
