Decided to take the plunge and got a PS4 and have been playing a bit of Witcher 3 for the last week. Still not really sure whether I prefer Skyrim Legendary Edition on the 360 though.
Visuals on Witcher are very good, just trying to get used to the gameplay.
Can't wait for Fallout 4 to come along in November though ...

I've been waiting for Witcher to drop in price since its release. Looks fucking superb. Currently playing Advanced Warfare online and Alien isolation. Both look absolutely stunning. Started Fallout 3 again a few weeks ago and forgot how good it is. The 4th will be totes amazeballs.

Witcher 3 is one of my favourite games of all time. It's absolutely. Fucking. Sublime. Having never played an Elder Scrolls before Skyrim and never played a Witcher game before 3, I can safely say The Witcher 3 pissed all over Skyrim from a great height. And I fucking loved Skyrim. Once you start getting to grips with it and begin to leave White Orchard, the story will carry you through the rest of the game. It's so fucking good and I envy anyone that has it to play with a fresh perspective.

Finally got a copy of the Witcher this week and fuck me i'm instantly addicted. Everything about it is superior to Skyrim and the story, combat system and visuals are simply stunning. I can see this game literally ruining my life.

It only gets better my friend. The 'Family Matters' quest line fairly early on is probably one of the best I've ever played in a game. The further into Metal Gear I get, the more I'm leaning into The Witcher as my game of the year. In fact it's probably one of my best of all time. It's that fucking good. I haven't played it since the 1.10 patch was installed but it apparently makes it even better on the PS4.

It's also filthy in every respect, from the insults to the sexual content. It's filth.
I have the dismemberment trophy and I just love seeing arms, legs, heads, and torsos flying around ;D
Fallout 4 will be immense and will probably lead to my spaffing in my pants.

Oh aye, there's a realness to the conversations. They feel genuine, like two real people having conversations rather than just reading from a script. More often than not people don't mince their words either.

I'm on the family matters quest now and it;s fucking amazing. It's just a shame i'm wank at concocting potions etc.

I wouldn't worry too much about potions. I only ever made the ones that prompted me to in quests and you can always buy the ingredients from herbalists.

Just when I think i'm getting somewhere this cockerel looking cunt called the Shrieker keeps doing me in. Think I need to level my character up as I can't even take half his health before he kills me.

Quen is the key to survival, level it asap and use it all the time.

Yeah I remember that cunt. Was difficult but counter attacking is the way if I remember rightly. Equip Quen and ground it with the crossbow when it swoops down.

The shrieker was doing my head in so I went on the witch hunt which is a fucking amazing quest, but now i'm stuck on the fucking Nithral boss. Great game but fuck me it's frustrating.

It is difficult but that's kind of part of the appeal of the combat to me. You're not over powered so you have to think about tactics, as a result you feel part of the world and Geralt feels like a genuinely ageing bloke that's just plying his trade rather than being some hero that can slaughter anything. But yeah, some fights are fucking hard, even against humans at times.

That's the way of the witcher, been the same since the first game. Normal on a witcher game is hard on any other.
I actually think this is the easiest game of the three, admittedly the first one was just solid cos the controls were gash.

Got a PS4 for laddo last week. He's playing mine craft and Lego marvel or whatever..... What would you recommend for me? This Witcher 3 sounds good but too complicated - COD maybe?

Depends what you're into Orbs. The Witcher is seems overwhelmingly complicated at first but if you're willing to put a few hours in, it's well worth your time. Game of the generation for me so far. Other than that there's Star Wars Battlefront which is a more accessible FPS, Fallout 4 and Metal Gear 5 (which has a wank story but the gameplay is brilliant).
