I think mine has to be Jimmy Greenhoff. He was probably the first goalscorer I saw for Stoke but more importantly to me at the time, he was the man responsible for sending the Boothen into a frenzy. Those moments of chaos after a goal, the sway of the crowd, losing my place and being passed back to my dad, being crushed against the bars and being a part of something special was the thing I found addictive about Stoke City and a part of the game I really fell in love with. Im still here 40 odd years later. My dad and Jimmy Greenhoff are responsible for that. Cheers to both of you for some magical times

I had a bit of a thing for Keith Bertschin, his goal mentals were brilliant.

I've said this before on the oatcake but.....
Peter Thorne, purely because in a time where most Stoke players names had more letters in them than a Welsh village his was always easy for me to recognise and say when I was younger. ;D

Garth Crooks!
I was well pissed off when he went Spurs, even tried to 'support' them for a few weeks as a young lad but it didn't stick. Not sure if that was a good thing or not in hindsight!

George Berry. My second game was Man City 3-1 in 1988 and he scored. The following summer he helped with coaching at Riverside Recreational Centre in Stafford one day, and I had my pic taken with him. Think I've had a little bit of a man crush ever since ;D
