Bizarrely it's not far off what my Man Utd supporting mate was saying last night. He rates Palacios and is very impressed with Pulis. His final comment with a grin was that the Premiership is crying out for another Cloughy to put it up them and he thinks that Pulis is getting everything right.

I think our whole image and the way the football world views us has changed dramatically, largely down to last season. Another two or three quality signings would make a significant difference and make us a real handful for anyone. Not sure about top five yet but well within the top ten... hopefully

I have seen a couple of people that have previously slated us say that they expect us to come quite high this season. Including, Henry Winter (Telegraph) and Darren Huckerby (who is a huge critic of us). These people are saying this under the impression that we are going to be making the signings we are linked with though.
