Obvious that the cladding is to blame, corridors shouldnt have filled with smoke, and apparently only one stairwell as the standing instruction is to stay in your home and wait for rescue, which it seemed the F&R services were doing, when it was obvious the fire spreading out of control. If I lived in one of them, you would bet your bottom dollar I would have a lot of rope and a climbing harness! I think as a society we sometimes forget how lethal fire can be.

There have been multiple complaints of dodgy electrical wiring and power surges.... according to twitter.
Money spent on plastic cladding to make the outside of the building look pretty and fuck all spent on safety.

Many failings...
Reports of no fire detection / alarm.
Emergency procedure to remain in flats yet fire has spread externally and internally.
Recent refurb, removal of asbestos? Opening up of lower levels...
Flammable cladding
Tunnel / chimney effect between cladding & original façade.
Restricted vehicular access hampering emergency response.
Limited mobility of residents.
Ruptured gas main
Richest area of London too...
Horrific, concerning.

Absolutely horrifying. And some job to recover/identify that.
Someone/people are in for some serious repercussions you'd imagine.
