I'm going vegan in February, just for the month.
No real reason other than something to do. Anyone else taken this nancy boy decision?

There's got to be something better to do than going vegan surely to fucking god?
Blinding yourself, take up arson, plucking your pubes, eating poisonous mushrooms, wanking stray dogs off, volcano parkour, going vale...
In short, no, no I haven't.

Never been tempted to give up meat although credit to those who do. As for becoming vegan, that's just taking things too far. Especially as some of them still wear leather. Won't eat a unfertalised egg that a chicken has laid but will wear the skin of a dead cow.

My eldest lad went Vegan last year, he was vegetarian for nearly 20 years before that, he manages to keep going on the intake and has a very active outside job

I actually googled the other day if vegan girls (or boys) could swallow after a successful blowy. Apparently, the answer is "yes" if it's consensual.

I can see you’re tempted Afraid not, mother nature puts so many tasty morsels on the planet that it would be hard not to indulge. Food aside, mother nature often exceeds modern medicine with all these animal derived antibodies, enzymes, vaccines etc.. If considering animal products such as fabrics / materials they to are often far superior to man made products too. It really isn't for me but fair do's to those who feel the need.

we all should eat less meat for the future of grandchildren etc. especially the fat lardy americans: -
It takes 2,500 gallons of water, 12 pounds of grain, 35 pounds of topsoil and the energy equivalent of one gallon of gasoline to produce one pound of feedlot beef. Because of over-consumption of fish, all 17 of the world’s major fishing areas have reached or exceeded their natural limits. One-third of the world’s fish catch is fed directly to livestock. 70% of US grain production is fed to livestock. 5 million acres of rainforest are felled every year in South and Central America alone to create cattle pasture. Roughly 20% of all currently threatened and endangered species in the US are harmed by livestock grazing. Animal agriculture is a chief contributor to water pollution. America’s farm animals produce 10 times the waste produced by the human population.
quorn chilli tonight for me then.

Been vegetarian for over five years now, and have cut out dairy almost entirely in that time, although I wouldn't class myself as being 100% vegan. If you're cooking for yourself it's a pretty easy transition, assuming you already quite like veg, pulses etc. The problems come if you're eating out, as choice can often be very limited. It's especially exacerbated if you're vegan, as often your vegetarian options will contain dairy or egg in some form. However, if you've got a good curry house near you, you're in for a treat, as you'll be eating a lot more authentically (even if people eat meat, they should definitely try the vegetarian options when they go out for a curry) and Italian is a good option too, as long as you watch out for cheese.

I've no doubt that growing a cow takes a lot of resource but surely that one's not true... for one pound of beef? Energyy (and water) isnt destroyed though, just turned into another form and ultimatley ends up going back into the nitrate cycle one way or another.
