Just tried being vegan (albeit for about 3 minutes), had a bag of pistachios... Didn't last long, just hacked off some Parma ham and a chunk of Cheshire. I simply wasn't cut out for veganism  |

Can’t see me doing it for a month where there's a will there's a way  The supermarkets do some great recipies you can pick up on the aisles and in their magazines, Tesco has a ministrone soup packet ready to go, the veg and a little bag of pasta in it, just add a tin of chopped tomatoes. |

I made a leek and mushroom pasta sauce last night which was pretty nice. I cooked with Ginger for the first time and it was really nice.
I guess one of the reasons for doing it is so that I cook something different to what i usually do....I will literally eat chicken pasta twice a day otherwise!

mushrooms  ordered the quorn and 3 bean chilli at the hotel last night, (it's a new menu) the girl then said 'the quorn or beef was it?' as there wasn't a beef chilli option I said OK then, the beef. It turned up as quorn with an apology of not having beef chilli on the menu !! don't lose any sleep over that riveting story  |
