Stumbled across this video last night. I think it perfectly reflects the positive impact that football has all over the planet, as embodied by the World Cup. Where's the craziest place that you guys have met a fellow Potter? Anyone got a photo of a Stoke shirt in a cool location abroad?

So what's it to be? An an efficient and skillful performance or the usual Stoke-like under-achievement and disappointment? For what little I've been exposed to in the build up living here in Ireland, but I have to say I was quite refreshed to see that the manager bloke seems to have picked a mix of young players who I've never heard of and some older ones that I have done. The squad looks balanced, and with the possible exception of Harry Kane, contains none of the superstars who are expected to carry England single handed and who never do like Gerard and Fat Frank. And of course I'm old enough to remember the days where if Brian Robson wasnt fit, it was viewed not worth England turning up for the game. Which one might argue was the case with Rooney as well. I'd like to feel that we will make a good first of it tonight so for a change, I'd like to wish England the best of luck for tonight's game. If they fail to win however, they should be rewarded with a caving holiday in Thailand.

It will be close, they should be slight favourites but hopefully Rodriguez is injured or something, and we sneak a win I should be a pundit  thought Southgate had blown it when he brought on Dier and went defensive, but we sneaked the win in the end. |
