Paul Lambart has left by mutual consent. Hopefully the club have a replacement lined up and hopefully that replacement isn't fucking Alan Pardew!

Feel slightly sorry for Lambert. He did his best, he got the players fitter and putting in more effort. He didn't take any shit from some of our less professional acting players and massively improved the defensive play. His enthusiasm got the fans back onside and helped us create a far better atmosphere at matches.
Shame that he wasn't so great when it came to team selection, substitutions and game management.
Good luck to the bloke.

David Moyes. Yes or No?

Maybe. Not an inspirational choice of manager but better than some of the dogshit managers out there.

I doubt he’d come here anyway. He’s delusional and thinks he deserves another go at a big club...I wonder if we’ll keep chasing him or will we panic again and employ someone out of their depth again.
I think we could get Moyes if we hold out, because no one big will come calling for him. In truth I thinks he’s dull and very average.
Mick McCarthy has allegedly told the club he’d be interested in the job. Yikes!

Of the contenders, I'd be okay with Moyes. Unproved in the Championship but I think he'd be good and one for the long term - given the board's supposed philosophy. As much as people might not like it I'd go for Big Sam. He'd be great for us, and us for him. If that didn't happen though I Like the idea of taking a chance on Flores but I can't see him coming. Rowett I'm indifferent to. Just not Nigel Pearson please

Hope the Rowett and Pearson links are false.
Moyes am 50/50 on- Sam will take us up- McCarthy will be ok -Dario Gradi will just touch people ( allegedly)

Can't see us going after anyone currently in a job. After the very public rejections from Sanchez Flores and O'Neill in January, I think they'll be trying to get things done behind closed doors.
I'm not against the (inevitable) hiring of a pragmatist but I'd rather see someone with some recent success on their CV than any old dinosaur who plays 442. I think there also has to be a bit of continuity/forward planning too: no point hiring a manager who will get us up then fail to adapt or thrive in the Premier League.
I suspect Moyes is the number one target, but they'll have to wait for him if he's after a Prem job.
Allardyce - unlikely, although he would do well for us.
Rowett - too much compensation and not set the world on fire with the football or results at Derby since he signed his new deal.
McCarthy - worked on a small budget at Ipswich but is a hoof merchant who will be found out very quickly if we were to get promoted.
Pearson - insane.
QSF - I would welcome him but, after January, I think our supporters would be quickly on his back if we went on a bad run.
I would also take whichever of Bruce or Jokanovic (my personal semi-realistic dream pick), although I suspect neither will be interested, regardless of who wins in the play-offs.

Rowett is being widely linked today.
£2.25million compensation to the Sheepshaggers being quoted.

Derby have released an official statement confirming Gary Rowett has asked permission to speak to Stoke City re: the manager’s job.
Surely we can’t cock it up from here?
And it’s funny to see the gloating Derby fans implode...”massive club”.

Derby fans are very bitter
One on Talksport talking about their history??? Not in my lifetime mate.
Not my first choice but according to our friends up the A50 he's now crap and we're welcome to him. Odd that

Well, that's fucked my 'no-one currently in a job' and 'waiting for Moyes' predictions Statistically, he looks a good bet, although it'll be interesting to see how he manages with more heightened expectations than at Derby and Birmingham. For the record: Burton Albion (2012-2014) | League 2 (highest finish 4th, lost in play-off final 2014) | Won 62 | Drawn 34 | Lost 45 | Total games 141 | Win % 43.97 | Birmingham City (2014-2016) | Championship (highest finish 10th, sacked with team 7th) | Won 42 | Drawn 32 | Lost 32 | Total games 106 | Win % 39.62 | Derby County (2017 - Present) | Championship (highest finish 6th) | Won 20 | Drawn 15 | Lost 13 | Total games 48 | Win % 41.67 |
