Director of Football Super Jon says "We are delighted to have him join the club, he helped Hull or someone buy cheaper Mars Bars and install them vending machines that do tappy cards or something."

Just found SJW's musings in the Sentivale on Fb today, he says "lets be honest, its been a graveyard for players, a graveyard for managers. We've not done well over the past few years, let's be perfectly honest about it. We've under-performed with where we've finished over the past seven years. Its been frustrating from the outside to watch." He basically (I'm not typing it all) goes on to say the club needs to build a strong foundation built on good facilities, coaching and backroom support, and sure the players have the right character to move the club forward, based on his experience since he re-joined a few weeks ago. He's a lot of nice things to say about the owners. He goes on to mention that there are plenty of Premier League standard players in the lower divisions but he finds that if they have the wrong attitude or work ethic, they won't make it at a higher level, and he does on to talk about the value of discipline.
Seems to be entirely consistent with his own on pitch standards and work ethic, I'm a huge fan of SJW and am delighted to see him back at the club, as I felt his leaving was a key moment in our slide into shitness.

I think that just goes to show the meaure of the guy. My non Stoke mates always took the piss out of him saying he was nowhere near a prem player, but the mindset and effort he put in made him most deffinetly a prem player for me. His stats and contribution back it up in reality too. Plus he seems like a right good un to have around. |

Sam Gallagher has been linked with a move to Stoke for a week or two and has now signed for us from Blackburn. I've seen him on twitter wearing a Stoke top. Don't know too much about him but he is a battling forward who is good in the air but only scored three goals for Blackburn last season. Maybe we have finally replaced Mama Sidibe.
