At home to big fat Charlie Adam and Fleetwood Town.
A great opportunity for to make it to Round Four unless we fuck it up of course!

Charlie gave us some magic moments mind, will be good to see him back unless we're paying his lunch bill.

That was outstanding skill, the way he cut his foot across it to give it the swerve and dip. Magic darts!

There will be a fishy smell in town tonight. The Cod Army will be at the Bet365 stadium. The same starting line up that we had against Middlebrough will do for me.

Interesting starting eleven. Not sure about it to be honest. Might be amazing, might not be amazing.

Fleetwood doesnt smell of fish, it smells of Fishermans Friends. Really! Well, it did the last time I was there 25 years ago.

well, it appears we won after making things hard If you had wrote 'making the game hard' instead of 'things hard' then that would have been a perfect one sentence summary of tonight's match. Surely nobody got a hard thingy from tonight's performance.

Wonder if Charlie Adam has been coaching his players on penalty taking before tonight's match.

A frustrating performance against a decent Fleetwood team. Thier number 44 caused us some problems but I think we were the better team and if we had converted another of our chances to make it 2-0 then it would have been a different game. we had 12 corners and scored 1 goal from them. they had 2 corners and got a goal and we had 21 goal attempts but only 4 on target. A few things for the new manager to work on. The highlights are worth watching! www.skysports.com/football/video/33727/13216947/stoke-city-1-1-fleetwood-town-2-1-on-pens-carabao-cup-highlights

I would describe that game as alarming...a MOM performance from our goalie has got us a draw v league 2 Fleetwood Town.
They had two corner kicks from which they got 2 goals ( one disallowed , debatable? Viktor seemed to think it was a goal as he beat the ground in frustration?) .
The corner kick , that stood for Fleetwood, wilmot looked like he was trying to get out of their players way , as he seemed to be steaming in determined to force the ball over the line ...so best not go in where it hurts ...so much easier to get out of the blokes way and let him have his goal ...it only a game ! And besides wilmot is not the only one in under 8s football to duck and challenge and avoid going in where it hurts.
I don't know what to say, some very good saves and lots of being big and being brave from our keeper, got us a draw v league 2 Fleetwood Town.
That's where we are at .

But I think the players mentality needs to change or it's going to be a long hard season. We need eleven brave players, happy to go in where it hurts ,to get the result over the line. If you work harder and go in harder than the other lot , talent counts for a lot. If you don't, talent is meaningless.

we don't have a divine right to beat lower league teams, our divine right is to lose to teams in leagues above us.
