I wouldn't say that makes it look tacky, they've obviously modelled the statue on a photograph of him, so they're making it as authentic as possible.
What makes it tacky is that it looks like the deformed lovechild of Wes Brown and Rio Ferdinand, and it's wearing an Arsenal shirt. ;D
