watching good telly is a sure fire way to keep downing the booze. I tend to fit my consumtioon to fit the programme, so if IM half way though a programme,I will open an extra can. Funnily enough, I drank far less when I used to read in the evenings. A mere 2 cans would last all night. I went through all of the Fire and Ice books a few years back in one go, used to sit outside in the garden on an evening if it was nice.

This is fucking dogshit!
I'm sitting here with a cup of tea surveying my comprehensive & well stocked alcohol ensemble with a cup of fucking tetley.
12 days in...
Feel no better for it. No worse off cash wise as it's always just in anyway. Working a bar is fucking torture. Haven't had a decent kip since REALLY want a sweet sweet beer.
Can't jack it in now or I've failed and it'll lead me to believe that I have a drink problem, well, not as bad as shiny but you know what I mean. Hurry the fuck up jan 23rd for fucks sake (my imaginary target date).
Edit - if there's any mods anywhere it may be worth creating a quitting booze thread with the relevant posts as this thread just reminds me if happier times.

Another cup of bastard tea I'm already planning for my first drink, think it's going to be a premium lager, ideally Peronni, ideally I'll last 'till the 23rd.

Fucking gutted that it looks like Carlsberg are going to stop doing Special Brew in 550ml cans.
The King of super-strength beers is dead, long live the King.

That Bavaria 8.8% is a worthy adversary however. Is the ironically named Tennants Super still invented?

Beer cans should have a strength related colour code to the cans like crisp packets do for the flavours.

Gone a bit of beer recently since I started at uni, cant have more than like 2 pints before the taste starts to become non-enjoyable. Become much more of a lager drinker recently usually get through a couple of cans in an evening, especially at uni, dont drink much at home.
Awaits abuse and mass numbers of dislikes.

Different drinks for different occasions, isn't it? If you're having a session, trying every real ale that the pub's got on tap, one after another, is a recipe for disaster.

What do you recommend then, as you are probably a more seasoned drinker than me? I meant that if I had the same drink twice it loses its niceness, dont usually mix up what I have to much in one night. But with lager it tastes the same no matter how much I have.

Drink at your own pace! Know the difference between your cooking lagers and premium stuff, don't mix types of drinks like beer and wine or spirits! Fill up on fodder before session

If any of you cunts get a chance, buy this... It's fucking amazing, easily my favourite beer. It surpassed Erdinger which I never thought would happen.
