Just wandering down Memory Lane, remember when you couldn't move on a board for Stokies saying the Brit was never going to have any atmosphere... Right up to when we got promoted in fact, then I've never heard people shut up so quick

It is just a pity the ground is shit at holding the sound, because if the accoustics were better just imagine how fucking ultra awesome the place would have been

Maybe it`ll hold the sound better once we fill a couple of corners in

I honestly used to hate it. A souless pit on a hill, the reason for that was the atmosphere, it was shite, just horrible. Ten thousand in the ground, endless half hearted delilah's and awful football. There were some magic moments of course, a fair few but on the whole it was like 'dead man walking' walking up to the ground from the boozer. The place founds it's soul when the going got good, when stoke upped the ante and managed to turn the threat of success into reality. Completely different place nowadays and long may it continue

Just a shame there's not much choice in watering holes for those of us who park on the car park.

Wasn't that pub supposed to be down towards Aldi? Fuck that, I'd sooner get pissed in The Windmill and get a taxi than walk up from there.

A Green King pub wasn't it? I believe it was/is meant to be down by Aldi, as opposed to being closer to The Brit. When I went to Crewe last week there were two decent chippies within spitting distance of the ground too. That's what we need But back on subject, I thought The Brit would never have an atmosphere. It really was due to only having 10-15 thousand fans spread across quite a decent sized stadium and sat there being miserable at what they were witnessing. That's my thoughts anyway.

First time I felt The Brit have a proper atmosphere was during the first leg of the Playoff's v Gillingham, when we went 2 up the place was rocking!

The last 25 mins against Boro in our first season in the Prem was unreal

I think that the first season at the Brit when we beat Wolves 3 - 1 with Fozzie scoring that screamer was pretty decent atmosphere. There was also the game against Porstmouth where we thought we might just get away with not getting relegated remember that was an electric atmosphere that day and still one of the best mentals I have had down the Brit to this day
