a few mins before, we had a discussion where were sat/stood, as we usually do, and for all of us there were 3 contenders for Man of the Match
Asmir
Upson
Deano
so the sponsors gave it to Ryan .. go figure

My MOTM was Ryan. Thought he was superb yesterday. But then, also without Bego's multiple saves we would've lost.
Top three from yesterday: Shawcross, Begovic, Upson.

It did make me laugh how because Dave and his few mates around him didn't say Shawcross he couldn't have been man of the match. It was hardly a stupid decision. A bloke next to me felt Shawcross had played better than Upson. |

I thought Upson had a slightly better game than Shawcross but was watching Upson a little closer because I've never really rated him.
Any of Deano, Asmir, Upson or Shawcross deserved it. Those 4 were excellent.

Those 4 were excellent. Can't really disagree with this although as is the norm for Stoke at the moment it was a great team performance - as usual it's a case of "the sum of the parts". |

I thought Shawcross too. Considering the form Suarez has been in, Ryan had him in his arsepocket.
Shawcross, Upson, Begovic and Whitehead were all excellent and everybody else was extremely good.

I thought our 2 wingers were pretty poor, Ethers especially so. He didn't look 100% fit. Otherwise, everyone else I thought were excellent.

as CC says ethers isn't looking great too much this season and JP needs to find another gear.
