My mate suggested once that the from the goal line to the back of the net there should be a slope.
I think that is an excellent idea, especially if a goalkeeper falls down it.
Also much cheaper than technology and you can stick it in every ground in the world.

Also much cheaper than technology and you can stick it in every ground in the world. They already have that in a lot of grounds, but it can't be a massive slope because of health and safety. Another idea was mud/sand or something like that behind the line, so if the ball bounces behind the line it just stays there, but then again, the keeper could get injured or dive in the mud and get stuck leaving an open goal. ;D A camera in each post looking across would be good. Then it just shows on the big screen. Lampards goal vs Germany would of easily been spotted and it would have been 2-2 with all the momentum on us.

There's a really simple solution for the situation where a possible goal isn't given and then the other team score straight away.
You take it back. If the original is given as a goal then the second goal doesn't count, if the original decision stands then the second goal counts.

If the original is given as a goal then the second goal doesn't count, if the original decision stands then the second goal counts. That would cause absolute mayhem. I'm sure there is a way round this very apparent problem but it would be very difficult.
