First half bored me to death, mind you i was seeing double for the first 20 minutes, there's only two ryan shawcross ;D That's starting on the beer early doors When my vision had sorted itself out the game was still wank. Second half much more enjoyable and the two goals at the end made the day, no less than we deserved for sure. I find the games so dull atmosphere wise nowadays, not the noise but the total lack of stoke related songs. We were talking about this pre game, all the best songs are confined to the dustbin of the hooligan era, glad to get shot of the aggro but not the vocals. Ahhh, being trashed at a game. Happened on a few away games, you see the whole first half as a blur, might aswell have had a kip. I was sound after 20 minutes mate, didn't really matter anyway, didn't miss much, in fact i saw it all twice ;D

Wasn't the greatest of games but it's job done and a very comfortable three points Whelan was garbage, Shawcross and Upson were immense, Etherington looked more lively and Pennants delivery was woeful yeah that pass was garbage that fed Wilkinson for the cross for the 1st goal it was about the best pass of the day Whelan had a tidy game, just doing what was needed, him and Rory worked well with one dropping and one going, the odd misplaced pass but who doesn't in our team?

Whelan played well, don't know what game some of you were watching. Rory looked sluggish first half and Whelan was almost constantly covering for him.
They fell to pieces after Murphy (cunt) went off and we still haven't learned that twatting the ball forwards, towards a defence with Hangeland in it, doesn't work.

Maybe people have the ability to look at his overall game which was terrible rather than one pass that I could've played given that it was in a complete no pressure situation and he had all the time in the world. Perhaps the constant pointless fouls and needlessly giving the ball away all the time are more important than one simple pass.

Maybe some people just go in with blind vision and look at the negatives and remember only them?

Decent pass...
Him getting it to a Stoke player now counts as a decent pass?
I made a list of all the good things he did (not counting basic passes to his own team). He did 2 good things, one was a great block he made. The other was bringing down Johnson when Fulham were breaking on us (which earned him a yellow card).
He also, failed to control a simple pass to him twice, one of them he managed to lunge and slide the ball to Wilson.
He gave away 2 unnecessary freekicks. One being off the ball, both were in a dangerous area for any team let alone a team with Riise in there.
Blasted a pointless freekick over the bar from about 30 yards out that we could've put into the box and created an actual chance. I think this was at 0-0 still as well.
And twice (from when I started counting) he under hit a simple pass and gave Fulham possession back ridiculously easily.
I actually like Glen when he's playing well but he hasn't been for a few games now and I won't make excuses for him being complete and utter garbage.

Always been a fan of Whelan, he's the one midfielder who can actually put his foot on the ball, didn't go saturday so can't comment on how well/shit he played but the sunday mirror gave him man of the match.
