Dad was strictly a bitter man, only swayed by the odd whisky now and again. Always remember my younger days as living in a mining communtiy the parties that had things like Worthingon E and Ansells in the big party cans I followed in the footsteps early in my drinking life but then drifted into life

The old man drank bitter, lots of it, same here in a mining community. That was the norm, never in the house though.......there was no need, he was always down the pub We had to get his dog to sniff him out on occasions

Mild. Although he mainly drinks lager at the football as he doesn't drink so often. With a meal he'll still have a mild if it's available.

The "did" is not reference to my owd man being removed from this mortal coil, he was diagnosed with a defective Kidney in his lat3 40's early 50's and had to give up his alcohol.

From what I've heard from my mum, anything and everything . He was also a pothead and small time weed dealer, which once resulted in the Glasgow drugs squad raiding my mums flat, when my gran was staying for a visit

I know it will make him sound like some kind of 19th century Parisian dandy, but my Dad quite likes an occasional Pernod.

The fucker does a bottle of scotch a night when he feels like it.
I love him to death but I'd never drink half as much if he hadn't fucking normalised it.

It's always possible to partake in that little known concept called rebellion Boother. He dinks a load, I don't drink anything, you know that sort of thing. I'm completely sober these days - which is probably where my problems lie
