In that case, 23-6 to Man City.

Huth needs a new partner because skipper Ryan Shawcross is serving a one-match ban, but the giant German could find himself with two if Pulis decides to go with wing-backs. That would mean playing Jonathan Woodgate and Matthew Upson, not Woodgate or Upson, as part of a three-man central defence with Huth. Such a system would leave Ryan Shotton playing wing-back rather than the more responsible role defensively of full-back. A wing-back system would also allow for a tight midfield three – possibly Salif Diao, Wilson Palacios and Dean Whitehead – to cope with Manchester's power and skill through the middle. The rest of Stoke's make-up would then depend largely on the fitness of Jon Walters ahead of a late test on the ankle left swollen after Saturday's victory at Wolves. www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/Stoke-City-Revenge-motivation-says-Huth/story-14199457-detail/story.html

So Bego Shotton Huth Woody Wilson Palacios Delap Whitehead Etherington Walters Crouch Not according to the Sentinel report mate.. Upsons in the mix, as is Diao instead of Delap, which would mean none of our wingers playing if its right...

Anyone else feeling a tiny bit optimistic?
I've woken up feeling that we can snatch a point tonight with a horrible, gritty, 10 men back style performance

Why would anyone prefer Higgy over Wilson?

Why would anyone prefer Higgy over Wilson? His rugged good looks?

Why would anyone prefer Higgy over Wilson? If we're going to play a weakened side he might as well get a bit of game time. Don't care which one plays, we'll still lose.

OfficialSCFC Stoke City FC Starting XI vs Man City: Sorensen, Woodgate, Huth (c), Upson, Wilson, Shotton, Palacios, Whitehead, Jerome, Walters, Jones Floodgate on the pitch at all must risk a fine for not fielding our strongest XI But, if that really means Shotts at RB and 3 CBs in a 5-4-1, maybe there's a plan to shut up shop...
