Are there any places you're desperate to visit before you die? I'd like to do all 50 of the US States, so far I've done 3 properly, but have travelled through three as well. I also really want to go to South America and see things like Christ the Redeemer, Machu Picchu and the Nazca Lines as well as visiting cities like Buenos Aries.

Karl Pilkington's taken me to all of those places on An Idiot Abroad so I consider them done.

Karl Pilkington's taken me to all of those places on An Idiot Abroad so I consider them done. ;D Of the 7 wonders, the Taj Mahal is the only one which doesn't appeal to me. I don't know why. I'd like to visit India and see it all, but I'm not sure I'd enjoy it.

I really hate India, its just dirty. ...And that's just the people. oi! i'm half dirty indian! india is a really nice country, but it's probably the kind of place you'd enjoy more when you're older. i'm 24 now, and i've been 4 times. but there just isn't all that much to do apart from in the main cities on the west coast and in bangalor. it's a fooking massive country though, and pretty much every state has it's own culture, so i can't really speak for the whole place i guess. if you like food, go to the north. if you like visiting temples go to the east. if you actually want to have fun, go to the west. the taj mahal is...yeh...the least appealing of the 7 wonders ;D as for myself, i'd love to go through south america. never really thought about it until i saw 'the motorcycle diaries' film about che guevara's young life. japan looks insane. dubai doesn't really appeal to me. i hate shopping and i don't like partying with a bunch of pricks. i'd love to go north korea for some reason. don't really know what their stance is on tourism though. 50 US states would be cool

would like to ski all across the world too. You'd end up carrying your skis most of the way if you did that.

I spent the last year or so doing the 40 highest places in the Peak District but im now back to doing the English and Welsh mountains over 2000ft which i started a few years ago.Problem is, I only get weekends to do it in and with mountain biking and kayaking too (not forgetting the footy) Im going to be at it for years !!! As a kid of 5 years old in 1980 i visited Lands End with my parents and grandparents and we had our photo taken underneath that famous signpost. Before i die i want to revist Lands End and have that photo taken again but this time with my missus and our daughters. I know its sounds simple and nothing flash but it would mean to world to me for sentimental reasons

Got to say Wheeze I thought that Landsend was pretty uninspiring although I can understand the sentimental bit. I'd also like to visit Knutton and Chesterton on foot. Any big lads on here like to come with me

God, there's loads! The pyramids, Nazca Lines, Iceland, New Zealand, Athens, Most of all though the White Cliffs of Dover, never been there before and there is something incredibly English and special about it. I would prefer it if it was not crawling with people as it seems to be though these days.

Landsend is a shit hole. Also, I'm now planning a grand South American adventure, thanks to this thread.
