Where you going to see black rebel mate? Institute in brum mate, fucking top band. Yeah, love them mate. Was onto them from day one to be honest, the last great explosion of bands for me. QOTSA, white stripes, brmc, and you will know us by the trail of dead. Only seen black rebel once and that was on an nme tour with QOTSA. Super band. Going to see them at rock city, my mate muzz is coming down from scotland for that fucker.

I love the Cockpit, cracking little venue. Seen a few bands there and it's a good excuse for a weekend out in Leeds. Also, I saw the XX in Dingletown last night and they were absolutely top notch. Best gig I've been to for fanny in the audience as well!

Black Keys at the 02 last night, absolutely amazing ! Seen them before at festivals but this was far, far better.
The crazy buggers were flying off straight after the gig to support the Rolling Stones in America tonight!

Went to see the Bootleg Beatles last night in Brum.
I'm not convinced by these tribute bands on the whole, I just can't get past the rip-off aspect, but it was a b'day pressie so thought I'd give it a go.
I have to admit to being quite impressed by the act and of course the tunes are unsurpassable.

You won't be disappointed, Sheldon's right, it's a great show. The only downer for me was the audience had to be told when to get up and dance/clap along etc. Maybe cos it's a slightly older audience than your usual gig-going crowd? I'm sure if we'd all just remained standing it would have really taken off. Up and down like a bride's nightie we were Probably be even worse for you southern bastards with broom handles up your arses ;D

We didn't really realise it was any different to a normal gig so we got hammered beforehand in Liverpool, my mate nearly got kicked out for standing up too much. ;D We had a right good night though and saw another Beatles cover band in the cavern later, that was a bit more laid back though. When I say laid back I mean they let people dance on stage with them and join in the songs, they also encouraged the local slut brigaid to bear their goodies. ;D

What was this doing on the bottom of Page 2 Booked this morning for next week ;D I would definitely be going if tickets weren't £66! Although obviously the number of big names is the reason for it I don't see the need for them to be that high at all. When I first heard how much tickets were I did assume that it would mean Paul McCartney would be there though. I have decided that I shall be going to Download this year though, the Leeds line up looks like garbage.
