When somebody gets washed up, 95% of the time they fell into the sea in bad weather and got dragged under. A lad in my year and a lad in the year above both jumped into the sea trying to save a dog, they both died and the dog walked out using the stairs.

Admittedly it's a daft way to die. He was one of my best mates in year 3 but we barely spoke by the end of High School. It was during study leave and my first exam was History (he was in my History class). There was an empty seat with his exam paper on, it was pretty weird.

Another exam I remember there was this girl sat next to me who was one of his group (the 'library kids' group) and she had a picture of him propped up on her table. He was looking to the side in the picture and he was just staring at me, about half an hour in she just started to cry. Not being funny, but it completely fucked up my exam.
