So I'm flicking through the channels last night, trying to find something to watch and I stumble across a film called Freedomland.
I press "i" and I find out its a Crime/Drama film and it stars Samuel L Jackson, Julianne Moore and Edie Falco and William Forsythe.
I'm thinking "yeah, this sounds alright. SLJ will say the fuck word 100+ times, kick some ass" etc etc.
I managed to last around half of the film before I turned this god awful shit off.
I'm a bit of movie buff and will give pretty much anything a chance, very rarely will I not see one through to the end once I've started; even if I'm nor particularly enjoying it.
But this film took being "utterly shyte" to a whole new level.
Fuck me it was dire. Anyone else had the misfortune of seeing it?
And can you tell me how it ended?!!

Sorry, missed it.. if you could tell me what happened up to the point you stopped watching, that would be great.. many thanks.. Starts off with L Jackon (playing a Police Detective) in "da hood" acting all black and shit "oh fo sho, mutha fucker" and so on and so forth. It then cuts to Julianne Moore (playing a white skank ex-heroine addict) walking through "da hood" with bloody hands. Scene cuts to her being in hospital and it transpires she's been the victim of a carjacking. This is where the surreal/utterly shyte scenes start. She tells the police about the car jacking and leaves it until about twenty minutes later "oh, and my kid was in the car too". We're led to believe that L. Jackson is some super-duper detective but he doesn't cotton on that this is a bit suspect (you know, you might mention your missing kid pretty quick if it happened) and then the whole movie (up until the point I went to bed) is a massive police operation trying to find the car jacker and the missing kid. It was just surreal some of the scenes, can't really explain it. Best to watch it. If I had to guess the end I'd have to say its nailed on the Mum had something to do with the disappearance otherwise its even shitter shitting shit than I thought.

One of the surreal scenes - L Jackson shouting and screaming at Julianne Moore in the hospital, getting a description of the kid.
He was acting like he'd just been told it was his kid or that the world was ending in 4 minutes. He was that emotional and worked up a doctor then walked into the room and gave him a injection of something to calm him down. He then gets out his inhalor as he gives the description out over the radio.
Fucking surreal.
