Looking forward to this fucker, Blood Money was one of my favourite games of all time. Mine too. I'm really really hoping that they haven't changed the format for this one. That video makes it look like a normal linear survival/stealth/shooter game; Blood Money was just a series of missions that you could play over and over again until you know where everybody was at a certain time and perfect it... which is what I loved about it.

Q2 2012 is the only info on release date. Looks good from what little i've seen, the end of that video got me going when the music started as 47 just blends into the massive crowd, memories of the New Orleans mission came flooding back.

Yer, the video I saw was that first 17 minutes with commentary from the makers, they said that crowd bit was just a tease of what was to come. The first level in Blood Money was pretty similar to that first 17 minutes (but nowhere near as impressive as that) where you just walk around avoiding people in a linear level, learning the controls a little bit and then it throws you into the missions. Hopefully that is the same in this where you evade the police at the beginning in a linear level and then get to the task of taking people out in random locations one by one. Really really can't wait.

Is this following on from blood money seeking revenge on everyone or something else entirely? It looks like it follows on from Blood Money, there is a trailer that looks like he's hunting down the woman that was giving him missions in Blood Money. I'm guessing that this game is all about taking out the people that fucked him over in the last game, one by one. It would be ace if they kept that end of level scoring system, so you can 'silent assassin' every kill.

I silent assassin'd 1 mission out of all of them. I kept trying, but I didn't have the patience for it. I was always a pretty good hitman but never the best. I remember one with the guy in the living room that was a pain that I spent days and days trying lol.

I did about the first 5 missions perfect and the rest pretty close. I think if I cared about achievements then (I wasn't online on my 360) like I would about trophies on my PS3 now then I wouldn't have stopped 'til I did them all and got every trophy.
I can probably still do the first few missions perfect now out of memory, in the mountain side wine place you had to take out a guy in the cellar and in a bedroom. It was pretty easy, you follow the first guard you see around the corner, inject him, rob his clothes and leave him there. Go into the cellar, wait for the right time to take out that guy, drag his body to the wine and dump him in it. Then just run around the side of the house and climb up the drain pipe to get the other guy in the open window. Easy escape down the mountain to the plane, just don't kill the guards.
The opera mission was the one I spent most time on, you had to take out a guy on stage and a heavily guarded guy watching it. I must have replayed that mission over a thousand times. You follow the janitor into the toilets, inject him, take his clothes and hide his body in the hamper... sneak backstage, hide in the nazi actor's cupboard, wait 'til he leaves and replace the fake gun for a real one. Go to the top of the building and put a bomb on the chandelier... go and watch the show as the guy gets shot, the heavily guarded guy runs down to see what happens to his actor friend, ties his shoes under the chandelier, so you set that off and walk out. Loved that mission.

I didn't have much trouble with that one, you need to take out the FBI guys in their van first by syringing their donuts. Steal their outfit, walk into the house and take out the first guy when you're alone... then you rig up the BBQ somehow and the woman sets herself on fire when she tries to light it.

That mission was amazing, I used to do the pool guy in the shed That bastard dog round the side of the house caught me out a few times as well.

That pool mission was amazing ;D I used to love going into the treehouse, getting the air gun and using the tranquilliser darts from the garage. I'm pretty sure that's right anyway!
Such a good game, hope this will keep the same formula

There's something wrong about it, it's like animated violence-porn or something. Gives a bad impression of the game, and when did Hitman start having rocket launchers and massive shoot-outs? I only played the first one but isn't it a stealth game?

I only played the first one but isn't it a stealth game? I get your point but with the previous Hitman games the marketing strategies were also pretty aggressive. I remember a poster of a naked woman who plays no part in the game with a bullett through the dome which caused uproar as well. The key to Hitman was always having a choice whether to go stealth or guns blazing. It's the linear nature of the gameplay that i've seen that worries me, well I say worry yet I mean "is of mild annoyance".

One hand on the controller, the other slowly masturbating.
That's how they think we play these games.

I'm hoping that it's just the first level that is linear, which was the same in Blood Money. If they've done it for the whole game at the expense of being able to perfect a level for an achievement - I'm going to be gutted.
