Read on Twitter earlier that they'd only sold about 100 tickets I've been speaking to my mate in Valencia - it's tough in Spain at the moment and they're certainly suffering with unemployment and the associated hardship.

Had a fucking horrible 5 minutes this morning where I couldn't remember if I'd bought the tickets. Luckily my ladies Dad did. Vomit inducing stuff.
Monumental effort from us tonight. If you come away tonight with a voice, you've failed in your duty as a fan.
GOARN YOU MIGHTY POTTERS

I've never done anything like it but this is twice it's happened this season. First time I did actually lose my season ticket on the opening game against Chelsea. Was flapping all morning, rang stoke to try and get a ticket for my seat, ran down the ticket office, realised I hadn't taken my card, ran back up home, back down again and got in about 10 minutes in, a sweaty wreck. Fuck it off now ;D.

Borrowed off BP FB page, The Europa truck on Clayton Lodge car park.. It was in the centre of Hanley too apparently..(there's a pic with a young lad leaning against it outside the Halifax building..)

Ahead of the Europa league tie with England's Stoke City, LaLigaUK was present for Unai Emery's pre-match press conference. Q. Do the topsides in Spain view the league position more importantly or European competition ? A. We have huge respect for this tournament, a recent memory of ours was reaching the quarterfinals of a previous tournament in the UEFA cup as it was known then when Atlético Madrid knocked us out, they went on to win the trophy that year. That gives us a real hope and desire to go as far as we can this season. We know we have a very very tough game against a team that's going to make things really difficult for us. They are highly motivated and they will be competing really really hard in a continental competition that has been very important this season for them as well. It's going to be a tough challenge tomorrow night against a team that will be up for it. Q. Do you think your previous encounters against Chelsea will help with the physicality against an English side ? A. It's not just ourselves that are very very much aware of Stokes style of play, I think we share that knowledge with a number of English teams. I know a lot of big teams in this country, Stoke are feared by these big teams. We know it's never easy for top English sides to play here. We know that if we win tomorrow we will have earned our victory. Knowing about Stoke is one thing, being able to combat it is another. One thing we will be though is very very prepared, we know we are going to have to adapt our style slightly to be able to compete with the Stoke style of play and maybe when we have adapted our style and are able to compete and earn our right to play football as the game progresses. Q. Are there any danger men that you can highlight for Stoke ? A. We are aware of certain individuals, but the thing about Stoke City is the group, the team as a whole. We are aware about the aerial threat caused by throw-ins from Delap and we know that in the shape of Pennant down the wings they are very very quick and in Matty Ethrington also they can hurt down the flanks. Q. So tomorrow night the UEFA Europa League campaign starts, is it the aim of Valencia football club to get to the final in Bucharest ? A. We certainly have the hope and desire to go as far as we possibly can, that's the idea, to get to the final that would be a dream. Q. There are two theory's that exist when coming up against a team that plays direct football that we have talked about, one is match them and be as direct as them and another is to try to keep out of all this and just keep the ball and play the ball around. Where does Valencia sit and how will you be approaching it tomorrow night ? A. I think first and foremost as I said before we have got to adapt to their style, we have got to be brave and as strong as they are and we have got to be able to withstand pressure, as they do pressure you very much as a unit, then it's all about what we do in possession, that's very important as well. We have got to impose our style on the game, when we have a chance to, we have got to show our character and our personality out there on the pitch as well. Therefore, by doing that we take off the pressure that they try to put on us. I think what we will do is to read the situation, see how the game is playing out and adapt to how the game is taking shape in the first few minutes, then we have a choice of either playing direct football from the back or playing the ball more cleanly. Q. You've mentioned how you've got to combat Stoke, does that mean changing system for tomorrow night ? A. Well we have got various options, we have got various strategies, which I'm not going to reveal now, but I can tell you what the options are and then we obviously take a look at things tomorrow and decide the final tactical approach. We can play with three centre midfielders and that gives us two options within that. We can either one defensive midfielder and two slightly more attacking players in front with possibilities of getting forward or we can play someone like Jonas almost as a 2nd striker if you like, just behind Soldado with two defensive midfielders. If you have the three in there it does mean your blocking Stoke getting closer to us, but obviously if you do have two attacking midfielders instead of one it means we can get forward a bit more instead. There are other options as well we could even go two upfront, which is what we did at Sporting at the weekend. There are other possibilities, against Atlético Madrid we played Piatti in that role as well. I've got the personnel like Parejo, Ever Banega, Tino Costa they are all capable of playing these roles and we have the fluidity to be able to adapt on the night itself. laligauk.com/laligauk_yii_blog/index.php/BlogPosts/view/id/97/title/The+Press+Room%3A+Unai+Emery+-+Valencia+%28Stoke+Away%29

Apparently, Valencia's full party for this game - away supporters, players, coaches and club officials - is 80. So I'd estimate that they've got 40 supporters coming over from Spain, and perhaps a few ex-pats as well.

I don't think 'going away' is a big thing in Spain. Even at league games you only see about 12 away fans huddled in a corner together.
I've been clock watching since Saturday waiting for this one and now it's just a matter of hours away. This is what supporting Stoke is all about!
2-0 Stoke tonight.
