Anyone else really disappointed by Norwich?
They really were more adamant on playing actual rugby, especially in their box, than playing football

Great game. We look so, so, so, so, so much better with two wingers. Everyone was excellent today, but I thought Shotton was exceptional at right-back.
Apart from that fat faggot Holt, I thought the Norwich players were very commendable (i.e. we won and they didn't cheat much) and it was an exciting, if not entirely open, game, which we dominated.
I thought they were the best away fans we've had for a while too, although they did shut their carrot-crunching gobs when Ethers scored. ;D
P.S. Etherington scoring on 72 minutes was fate.

Pulis said: "I've not seen it (the decision) but if we've had a bit of luck I think we deserved it for our overall performance. "(Norwich goalkeeper) John Ruddy made some good saves, especially the one from Peter (Crouch) in the first half. We put on a lot of pressure but we didn't create the amount of chances we would have liked. "For Matty (Etherington) to score is good because it gives him a lot of confidence and that will do him the world of good. "Forward players have good times and bad but we have to ride with it. Matty is a top, top player and today he was back to like his best. "We've had a real, real, busy season against top, top clubs. It takes its toll but the lads have got their heads down the last two weeks and been great. "We're mid-table in the league, we've had a great European adventure and we've got the opportunity to go to one of the great arenas in English football (Liverpool) and give them a run for their money hopefully." www1.skysports.com/football/news/11701/7565890/Described again as a turgid affair, as its described similarly in a few reports, fuck em, I thought it was great stuff...

So our goal, can someone who's seen it say if it was their throw in or not?

I'd say it was our throw, though I was on the opposite side of the ground.

So our goal, can someone who's seen it say if it was their throw in or not? It was their throw but a lot happened after the throw that they could have done to stop us scoring... The throw wasn't that integral to what happened, them not winning the header, not stopping Ethers after his first touch and the goalie conceding at his near post, they were the problems, not the poxy throw in..

Norwich fans are coming out with the typical 'couldn't watch that every week' bollocks. ;D

Norwich fans are coming out with the typical 'couldn't watch that every week' bollocks. ;D But that's how they played, so they do, only nowhere near as well as we do it... ;D

A moment of rare quality, says the commentator... Am I too easily pleased..? I think the commentator had a very short memory, he said that it was the "first bit of football from Stoke" about 8 times. It was a certain Dean Ashton I believe... Not that he'd be unbiased, he only played for Norwich and came from Crewe. I never understand why these commentary teams are always made up of one neutral, one ridiculously biased commentator. Wouldn't it be better to have either two neutrals or one from each side...?

As I said earlier, I thought it was a good game today. Both teams went for it, but I thought anything other than a Stoke win would've been harsh on us today, when you consider how much of the ball we had. I'd be surprised if they strung 4 passes together all game.

Norwich fans are coming out with the typical 'couldn't watch that every week' bollocks. ;D They do, don't they? Or maybe they just decided to play like Stoke at Stoke? Great win, I'd have been gutted not to win today cos we deserved it from start to finish. Not brilliant and not totally dominant but just the better side all the way through. Good job Stoke, a very satisfying 3 pts. I think that officially puts the fear of going down to bed too, there's no way those teams at the bottom will get 15 pts from their last 11 games. I know TP wants 40 but we won't need it.

I think it's as well as we've played, home or away, for months and as totally dominant as we are ever likely to be, certainly against Premier League opposition...

8th is amazing considering the teams above us! Very professional performance. OK, probably not a classic but there was only one team that deserved to win that game.
Shotton was probably my MOTM esprcially when he moved to RB. Thought all of the back four bullied fat Holt.

Weird how its all doom and gloom, then a couple of wins and we're three points off Liverpool.
This league has been dangerously close in the mid table section.

I enjoyed the game today, we were comfortable and they never really troubled us. Grant Holt is a diving cheating girlie.... still

Apart from that fat faggot Holt, I thought the Norwich players were very commendable (i.e. we won and they didn't cheat much) I don't know about that, I thought they were pretty bad for niggly fouls all over the pitch. It was like a tactic of theirs to out-push and pull us, even when the referee got on top of it they didn't look like they knew any other way to play and were giving away free-kicks for fun. That ginger haired McShane lookalike must have been given orders to not even try to win the ball when marking Crouch, just make sure he wasn't getting clean headers off.

I loved it today, most entertaining game for a long time, there's only so much you can take turgid football even of we get the result.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't want to see us turn into swanselona. Today we played direct exciting football, and we looked brilliant for a while when Jerome and Jones came on, which showed us Crouch and Walters don't work together really, Crouch and Jerome, or Walters and Jones pulled be much better, it would give us some pace and strength that we lack with them 2 up front.
Etherington didn't look at his best, but he was much closer to it than he has been. Jermaine made us look better too unsurprisingly. Whelan and Whitehead also looked good, I suppose how good they look depends on how much pressure is on them, and as we attacked better it wasn't as much.
Anyway we looked more like the team from last season.
