Dont see why theres so much hatred for Wolves tbh, I hope they manage stay up, which is unlikely 1. They blatantly copy the way we play but claim they don't. 2. They take the worst elements of the way we play, yet never get trashed in the media the way we do. 3. Last time I went to Molinuex (sp?) they booed and chanted boring every time we had a throw yet when they got them cheered to high heaven without a hint of irony. [and it was the dullest game ever, I'd rather stick pins in my eyes than watch that again] 4. They employ Jez Moxey. 5. The sacking of McCarthy without a back up plan shows how inept they are. 6. Most of their fans are nearly as deluded and stupid as Vale fans. 7. You obviously don't have to work in Stafford. Having said that one of my BFFs is a Wolves fan and generally of the Wolves fans I actually know are a decent bunch. There are other teams I'd rather see go down because Wolves are a) local and b) we usually take points off em. [Rather have Wigan go down because we can't buy a point off them...] My friend actually said yesterday that she wants Championship football because it's a more exciting competition. After laughing long and hard at that I pointed out that she was already resigned to relegation and psychologically preparing herself for the drop. I can understand that a season of relegation battles may wear you down but I would never give up on Stoke the way a lot of Wolves' fan's appear to with their own team (hence the return of 1400 tickets). Give me mid-table Prem every season (with a couple of decent cup wins, or at least runs) anytime. I'm also not going to cry a river when Wolves go down though, especially if QPR and Blackburn go down with em.

Wolfie Boy where are you now eh?? ;D
I don't think this'll be as easy as it sounds, injuries mean we'll end up playing ugly I suspect, set another ugly if less good side against that and I really won't have a prob if we scramble it home 1-0.

Of Woodgate:
The Stoke boss said: “The first challenge in that game at Wolves was a bad one. I remember it well, it got him booked and put him in danger.
“He then gave the penalty away and could easily have been sent off. I changed it because of that - the team is much more important than the individual at this club.
“But for a player who has played the number of games he has played, he won’t be fazed by facing Jarvis again.
"He would be fine. He is that good a footballer.

Have always had a little bit of a soft spot for Wolves, mainly due to liking Mick McCarthy - I think him and Pulis are similar in many ways..but it's also evident that their problems go way beyond who is manager of the club...the bizzare decisions of the Board over the last 12 months play a huge part.
Was with my best friends last night who are life long Wolves fans and while the general discussion got heated at times..they did say that at the end of the day, when the players step over the white line, it's down to them to get the points...and they haven't because they simply are not good enough..with a couple of exceptions...
3-0 Stoke, with an own goal from Jarvis in a cunning plan to curry favour with Pulis, which backfires when Wolves fans overhear Jarvis agreeing to meet Huth for a pint after the match...

Im expecting a tough, scrappy, physical game today. Pennant is sure to get a kicking if hes on and so is Etherington. I really dont fancy the Woody/ Jervis battle either, maybe TP will play Shotton instead of Pennant to provide a bit of cover down the right ?
Its a game we need to be patient with, not get frustrated and not get drawn into petty spats. Midfielders really need to be on their game and winning balls and cutting out passes to Jervis. If we can manage that I think we can grind out a win if only by a narrow margin.
7-1 to Stoke ;D

I've just seen on Sky sports that Wolves haven't beaten us at home since 1979. Undecided as to whether that's a good or bad omen.

If we don't win today the OC will go into complete meltdown.
Wolves are fucking atrocious at the moment, the thought of anything but a win is sickening.

Was full of confidence about this one but as kick off approaches I'm not too sure anymore. I really do hope we batter the Yam Yam cunts. Goarrrn Stoke etc.

Pretty poor so far. Not keeping the ball well at all. All a but congested in midfield.
