Thinking of investing in a new game for the XBox, just after a bit of feedback.
I'm looking at getting a new Sports game but undecided which way to go.
What is the general consesus on Tiger Woods (not the actual person, the game)? Is it worth spending the extra on Tiger Woods 13 or is there not much change from number 12? I don't spend a great deal on the XBox so if there is not much difference should I just go for 12?
Any reveiws on Fight Night Champion? Which is better, FN or TW?
Are there any good Athletics games??
Any feedback appreciated.

Athletics games are always shit. The official 2008 Olympics game was fucking awful. Golf games are just as boring as watching real life golf. Boxing games are your best bet but I don't know what the more recent ones are like. Fight Night is usually always good.

I'll chalk that down as 1 for Fight Night then.
Cheers

Considered the new UFC? It's a better fighting game than Fight Night.

Tekken 2 is the best fighting game ever.

Considered the new UFC? It's a better fighting game than Fight Night. Hadn't considered it, not really into UFC so I imagine I'd get more enjoyment out of a Boxing game. I'd pretend I'm Rocky and punch the air and stuff when I won. If I was ever struggling I'd shout at the Mrs "Aaaaaddddrrriiiiaaaaannnnnnnnn" and all that shit. Can't beat Rocky, its fucking awesome. "Its not about how hard you can hit, its about how hard you can get hit and keep on moving forward".

I like the Tiger Woods games... I don't know what has changed from 12 to 13 though, maybe the odd course and the fact it's Kinect may be all that's changed...
I don't know of any athletic games that are worth it, they're still basically button bashers...
And I'd go for UFC over Fight Night too..

With Fight Night you can use all the strategy in the world but if someone is just wildly and throwing punches none stop (my limited style of play) then you can still get twatted..

That is an actual fighting style and one I utilise on all fighting games.
"Windmilling".

What are the career games like on Fight Night and Tiger Woods??
Are there decent stories behind them with good challenges? Do you start off proper crap and slowly get better??
Are there other decent game options on them??

The last fight night was absolutely brilliant I thought, story mode was excellent as well. Preferred it to UFC and I enjoy both sports.

Cheers lads, Fight Night Champion is only £8 on Amazon so I'll give it a whirl.

Yeah, the story mode in Fight Night Champion is phenomenal. The actual fighting gets a little bit boring pretty quick though.
Download the UFC demo anyway, you can stamp on somebody's head when they're on the ground WD... Rocky style.

I do like the sound of the brutality, I might have to give it a whirl. The problem I've got is that I don't spend enough time on the actual XBox so there's no point in me having 2 games at once that I want to play on.
I'll just play this Fight Night one 'til I get bored and then perhaps invest in the UFC game.
Just for the record, the best fighting game ever is Streets of Rage – no competition.
Other notable games included Double Dragon, Altered Beast, California Games, Golden Axe, Paperboy and Micro Machines.

There is a generation of lads growing up with arthritis because of that game.

It’s a good job that old “if the wind changes you’re face will stay that way” bollocks isn’t true.
Spent many an hour on that game in my younger years.
