Ah, I had a set of cheese knives once, including a cheese cleaver for "hard or difficult cheeses", I spent many happy hours pondering what constitutes a difficult cheese

Throwing knives is cool but usually makes one look like a total twat and they are easy to lose too. Remember them Spetsnaz knives that fired the blade out on a spring. Cool but entirely stupid.
