Trying to get into it still. Started a save with Charlton, beat Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid (4-0!) in preseason. After losing to Bromley and Welling just before. Beat Plymouth on penalties in the cup and then drew 3-3 with Derby in the first game of the season.

I wanted him to play CM, add some experience into the middle of the park but work permit was oddly denied
Trying to re-sign Flo Cuv on loan again. Need two wing backs, another CB, maybe another midfielder or two

Pulis went to Sunderland on my save, first player he enquired about? John Walters.
In the summer he then signed Ryan Shotton from Huddersfield. When I got the enquiry from Sunderland and saw Pulis was manager though I was in disbelief, and delighted. I never expected to get a transfer offer for Walters lol.

Changed Cort to the central CB position and all of my defensive woes seem to have been solved. Beaten Palace 3-0 at home and then Wednesday 3-1 away. Their only goal was a rebound from a long shot into an open goal (not the defence's fault), Fuller scored in both games.
Lethal Championship combo of Fuller/Chopra, it's almost like Fuller/Sidibe but with a white man.

Fuck yeah ;D. I usually start off as Stoke but thought about starting from rock bottom. Sadly even if I sent them on a 2 season unbeaten run, I still wouldn't get recognition from Burton lads and dads.

The game is set up now so that if you're determined enough you can make a single league one of the most powerful in Europe. It would take a long time, but by slowly making european qualifiers and getting further and further you increase the nations co-efficients and league reputation.
It's only been this way for a couple of years, but it does mean in theory, you could have Prestatyn town playing in front of 50/60k crowds regularly and signing the worlds greatest players.
Think the most extreme example I saw was with someone on the SI forums having taken somewhere like Iceland to Europes top league, I know it worked out that match attendance was something like 50% of the countries population lol.
