Just about to start an FM07 (my favourite of the series) save. Fuck me I loved that game, played on it literally every hour I could.

I won the quadruple (including Champions League) in my third season, seems really easy since the update?

No, you just know how to get the best out of your players, Brad. You're one of the best motivators out there IMO.

If you're at Stoke you're fucked if you don't progress next season.

Halmosi!!!!! There's a name I had forgotten. I remember when Plymouth signed him I was jealous as arseholes, he now plays for Szombathelyi Haladás (can you tell I C&P'd it?)

If you can't spell that off the top of your head you don't deserve to play FM.

Just downloaded some guys long term save from the main sigames forums for FM. Anyway, it's been 300 years since Stoke were last in the premiership on that save, and the club are now yo-yoing between the blue square premier and blue square north.

Finally started a save with Stoke. Trying to build up the youth system so I can get a mostly English side. Finished 5th in my first season while getting knocked out of both cups early on. Now I'm 1st (3 points but a game in hand). Got knocked out of the league cup early on again but I'm in the FA cup semi against Liverpool and Europa League final against someone else. A very good season where my team has really come together. My strike force consists of Ademilson, Destro and Andrè. Ademilson is approaching 30 goals, Destroy has 21 and Andrè is on 18 having only joined in January. Closest person to them is Emanuelson on 8 goals. Weiss has got me 23 assists though.

Won the league and the FA Cup, knocked out in the EL semi's by Zenit. So; signed Tevez, Hernandez (because he always fucking scores against me) and Lampard in preseason. So that's Garmash, Lampard, Tevez, a 'keeper and Marian Sarr in on frees before the window's open. Then I got excited because Gylfi was transfer listed and signed him. Signed a bunch of other young prospects, trying to keep it as English as possible. Then I signed Ryan Bertrand for my leftback position.
So far I'm unbeaten in all competitions, drew Bayern, L'OM and Haccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League. I've just conceded my first goal in the league after 7 games in a 5-1 thrashing of Man Utd, very disappointed.

I'm currently with Club Brugge in Belgium, I started off at Stoke and in 2 years rebuilt the team entirely into a young outfit that had a lot of potential, moved on to Arsenal and did the same there, Stoke were on the fringes of top 4 football when I left and almost broke in a couple of times however, Pulis was made manager again and Stoke got relegated the next season.
After having turned Arsenal from their mid-table positions to champions of Europe in 2 and a half years I quit and waiting for an opportunity to come along. Brugge were in a lot of debt, had failed to win or qualify for a european competition for about 6 seasons and were saddled with a lot of poor players earning big money for the club at the time.
Sold most of the players I could and signed only frees, any offers that came in I accepted and finished at the end of 30 games in 4th place. However, then came a sort of mini-league of 10 more games, and on the final game of the season I clinched top spot. Had some impressive games in the champions league the following season, held Barcelona to a draw twice, but in my second season my heavy cost cutting hit hard as we didn't win the title and then qualifying for just the europa league saw the club slip back into debt.
Signed some older players, a 39 year old Tim Wiese, a 30 year old Walcott who no one was touching with a barge pole - besides me who knew he worked well in my formation from Arsenal and a couple others like Dries Mertens to add fairly cheap, short term options to the team. Managed to win the title again for a 2nd time in my third season as a result, and then the young cheap bargains I signed had become worth money.
Sales of various first teamers for £3/4/5m a pop to other European teams and a couple of bigger sales around the £8m mark meant the debt was wiped out and I was able to buy a few better players. Got through the champions league group stages and continued the buy cheap - sell high ethos and now at the start of my fifth season I'm coming off the back of another league win and currently £16m in the bank.
Playing this as a long term save now to get the Belgian league to become something of a force to be reckoned with. I need my team to have another 2/3 good years in europe and that would drag the co-efficients up so more teams qualify for europe and the league gets a higher prestige.

It's hard work, but definitely good fun. I had a massive problem with trying to raise the reputation of the Pro league. I'd do fairly well in CL, myself but the other teams usually did abysmally, meaning that it didn't raise much. In fact one year it went down. You obviously know more about that, I'm sure you'll find a way.

The league reputation itself is more to do with how much sponsorships for the domestic league will vary. That's a whole other kettle of fish and it has gone down a couple of times since I've been there. But when I first joined Beglium won the world cup and a few of the players were still playing for Belgian sides, they were sold on and league reputation went down.
The co-efficients is the main difference maker, once more teams are in the CL there's more money in the league and it should improve from there. I expect I'll be on FM14 soon though, but it'll probably be a while before its playable properly anyway.

Lost one game in the entire season (League Cup against Man Utd). Won the league by 21 points. Finished on 98, breaking Chelsea's record. Want to break the 100 mark next season. Got this badboy just before the Champions League Final, that I haven't played yet. Not bad really considering £94k is more than any of my players are on right now and all the club stuff is double what I get at Stoke. But it just wouldn't feel right being beaten by my own team... Oh well, onto the Champions League Final and conquering Juvé.

I cannot for the life of me start a game and stick with it. Get far too bored, too quickly. Started a save with Stoke, Hertha Berlin, Kidderminster(Fuck you Vader) and Besiktas and cannot get into any of them.
