Owen to play a part..?
Speaking on Thursday morning at a press conference where he was officially unveiled to the media, Owen said: "I'm not sure what the manager has got in store. "I feel as if I am fit enough to take part in a game. I'm not quite 100% confident or happy in my general touch and different bits and bobs, but that will come.
"So we'll see what the manager has got in mind, but I'd like to think I'll improve as the weeks go on." Pulis was keeping an open mind on the matter, but said he was pleased with what Owen had demonstrated so far fitness-wise. "From what the lads say, he has come back a lot fitter than what we thought he would," Pulis said.
"He needs a lot more work with the ball and being in small-sided games for his sharpness, but we are pleased with the way he has come back." Asked if he felt he could use Owen straight away in a game, Pulis said: "It is too early to say yet. We have got two more days."

As football fans and human beings, definitely our place. Definitely We're all football fans and we, as fellow football fans, should unite and seek justice. I couldn't ever imagine going to watch Stoke with my Dad and never coming back. It's sickening just thinking about it JFT96

Merse:
Stoke v Man City PAUL PREDICTS: 1-1 Stoke don't have a great record over the last 15 league games, stretching into last season, but I'm not worried about them. I don't see them as relegation material, but I don't see teams being as worried as they used to be about going there. They need to change that quickly and if they go back to the way they can play at home they can cause a major upset here. Tuesday's game with Real Madrid will be in the mind of the Man City players and as long as Stoke don't try and play pretty football, they should get a result. I'll pick a draw, but if I had to pick a winner I would probably go for Stoke.

Lawro:
Stoke v Man City
Stoke have drawn all three of their games so let's go for draw number four. What Stoke will be hoping is that, with all the Manchester City boys having been away on international duty, it might just be a good time to play them. Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini knows what to expect, he knows it is going to be tough but he has got some big boys in his team. Defensively they will all be on their toes.
After the transfer window I don't think City are that much stronger. I'm not sure how many of those signings will be in the team on a regular basis.
But they have got a good number of players in their squad and I think that will be the most important thing for Mancini, not least because they face a tough group in the Champions League. He has got cover in every single position.
Prediction: 1-1

Pisser that nobody seems to wants to back the reigning champions when playing against us.

What's another pisser is that our league record has been an absolute shambles throughout 2012 and no one sees us as "relegation material"
