I don't think there was a strong presence of actual PHW v Rimmers of the OC in all honesty, just the fucking idiots that would label you one if you had a balanced view on things and of course the extreme posters. That said I'm not a moderator so probably only saw a quarter
The strongest examples on each side though were (are) stokelad84- whose utter tunnel vision was fucking crazy. Nothing even constructive could be said about how you would have had the tactics or how badly we would play at times.
Then the other side, WfW, jarhead etc. who just didn't' have anything constructive to add to a debate, I'd just skip past their posts.
On here though, we've got a good balance of people that just see things for what they are and know their football. The whole phase was just fucking dirge and there was no point even going near the board because it was a never ending cycle of shit.

I have always had the stance where Pulis as much as he can piss me off with his negativity is also a fucking genius at times and I guess that is about as good as it can get with a manager. We are all not going to agree on what he does and we are all not going to like everything he does but some just hunker down into one camp or another and do not budge and inch when it comes either criticising or praising what TP has done. I dare say come the new season there will be a few bitch fights on here about performances etc but lt us hope they are at least reasonable debates and not revert to the shit that has gone before on other boards. This, he winds us all up, but I came across as a rimmer on the Oatie because the PHWs used to really wind me up with their bollocks of him taking us as far as he could. In my mind, we can have a bitch about him and say "what the fucking hell was that?" when we lose to someone we shouldn't, but hopefully this board will stay clear of people making up rumours he's on his way out just because that's what they want.  |

i was behind his car last week, number plate 289 PHW think the numbers were 289, could have been a 5 or 3, I do need to go to specsavers Is that honestly true?? Fair play to him if it is, he might be wrong but pretty damn cool with it ;D |

No you're about right, the small extreme factions drove/drive a lot of decent people away from the Main Board. |

It's because everyone on here is pretty open minded IMO. Most PHW's are either narrow minded beyond belief or (in most cases I believe) simply to arrogant to say "looks like I was wrong about that Pulis chap". The Rimmers (such as Stokelad) just seemed to have an uneducated fetish for Pulis. Both pissed me off. Spot on, people were entrenched in one camp or the other was getting ridiculous! |
