Decent first half. Shotton is actually playing really well to be fair to the lad. Keep it up Stoke.

Well I hope it's not going to be a repeat of Monday night where West Ham actually turned up in the second half because we've absolutely smashed them in the first.

Shotton's doing decent for Shotton which is like saying Salif Diao is doing decent because he hasn't been booked yet

Really fed up of this stupid convention of putting the ball out when a player goes down. 19 times out of 20 there's fuck all wrong with them eg Steve Sidwell. Teams that do this should be fined, that's the only way it'd stop and take away any pressure on the opposing team to put the ball out. Edit: amazing Sidwell's ruptured ACL/dislocated knee lasted 80 minutes

Good three points there. Neutralised Fulham's threat, making sure Berbatov had no options, and created plenty of chances.
I've said it in a few places now, but our major downfall last season was creating chances. We've addressed that and now we just need to start finishing as we could twatted Fulham today.

Great win. Very happy with that, especially our excellent first half performance, but we really need to start finding that second goal before half time, we really could and probably should have been 3-0 up going into the second half with the chances we had.
Shotton definitely had one of his best games, defensively solid, put a couple of great crosses in, and wasn't afraid to run at his man. Brilliant ball in to Crouch for the goal. If he plays like that every time we need him, I'd be very happy.
Adam is getting better by the game, excellent finish, and some of his passing and vision showed the quality he has. If he keeps improving like he has over the past few games, he'll have an immense season. Really looks like he's starting to get used to his new role, and puts a huge shift in.
Ryan should have scored, (and so should Huth,) but at the back he was an absolute rock. Saved us with two of the best-timed sliding tackles you'll see this season. Both centre backs were excellent, they handled Berbatov brilliantly!
Ethers wasn't as bad as people are making out IMO. He did okay from open play and linked up well with Adam and Geoff, but really came into his own with his corners. On another day he could have had about 3 assists.
N'Zonzi yet again was a beast. He can tackle, head, pass and run with the ball. He is the perfect all-round midfielder.
Kenwyne did well when he came on. Didn't work hard enough when we didn't have possession, but a great finish for the disallowed goal, and some of his strength and hold up play was brilliant. I think he did enough to deserve a chance to start on Wednesday. Crouch did well too though, great assist, and a few really good touches.

I thought that Crouch was fairly poor first half, but really turned it on second half and was great.

Peter Crouch created more chances than any other player against Fulham (5) and also assisted the only goal

Geoff Cameron made more interceptions (7) and more tackles (5) than any other player against Fulham - he won 100% of his tackles

My favourite fact of the day though, Chairman of the PFA, Clarke Carlisle was sent off for foul and abusive language ;D
