Been going to the pub for a few weeks now with a couple of colleagues at lunchtimes as we've got into having a few games of 201. Left with 95 today I passed on treble 19, double 19 and nailed treble 15 bull. Pretty chuffed as that's by some distance my best finish. What are other readers' best finishes? 3. |

I once did treble twenty, bull in a competition when I was in my teens. And on one memorable occasion as a student in the Sutherland Arms in Shropshire playing pool ne lunchtime cleared the table from the break, only time I ever did it. February 1990. Magic darts.
I also once remembered a darts commentator, Sid Waddell I think, describing a player (possibly Leighton Rees or John Lowe) who was steadying himself by taking a deep breath as "He's taking in air, like a whale on the sea".. brought a tear to my eye, poetry that...
