I do know that they were called body warmers in the 80s, being forced to wear them as a kid and developing a hatred for them. The disappeared for a couple or 3 decades, reappear as a Gilet, remain functional and look owrate too.

practical, I have to call them "gillets" though, some arsehole in H&M tried to correct me and call it a "jee-lay" , I had to leave immediately, for I believe that "nougat" is nugget and not "noo-gar".... here endeth the lesson
