We should have outplayed them, but we didn't. Why do we never find that second goal to kill off a game? Did you think they outplayed us as well? We're never going to outplay anyone even with 10 men, we should have seen it through, but thought on the whole we played well. At times, even when they had 11 men we threatened to play football but against ten men and a goal up it should be us who dictated the play. Agree that Wilson was a big loss and I think if we have Glen in the CM we would have seen it through. Pulis had to make a change, especially up front to give their defence something different to think about. We weren't bad and I'm happy with the point but it should have been all 3.

I wish Pulis would try and win games.

Pulis lost that for us, should've subbed Adam and Crouch earlier. We were wank second half, never looked like scoring, losing Wilson was massive. We didn't lose?! Lost two points.

I know what people are saying that we should have seen it through, but they only really created 1 shot and the goal from a set piece, they were always going to come at us for a bit after their goal, but they never had us pinned back or under any real great pressure.
At the end of the day it's a point that pretty much guarantees survival. We all know big changes needed next season in terms of ambition, possession, chances created etc, but for now, on reflection that's a big point.

Evening Pulis ;D Jesus hates Christ, forgive me and the rest of us for not being pleased that we've just failed to beat ten men and, at times, were outplayed by the said ten men. But it's fine because as you say, we didn't lose Despairing, absolutely despairing

I thought we'd lose, doesnt mean I'm happy with that result due to the absolute negativity shown by Pulis who fucking bottled it again. He said he was worried players would be sent off yet heeps them on the field. Just what the fuck did he say at half time?
I wish he would grow a fucking backbone.

Pulis comments about the players who were on bookings just makes the Adam substitution even more baffling, can anybody explain it?

Regarding that team, how many would you be happy to start next season with?
Begovic
Huth-Shawcross-Wilson
Nzonzi Adam
Walters (no point pretending he won't be here!)
Need a RB, a CM (maybe Geoff?), quite like the idea of Adam on the wing as long as we have an out and out winger who can run with it on the other side. He gives us a bit more control in the game. We are in need of a new striker though, for certain.
Hope we keep hold of Jerome because he is a great impact player but I think he'll be off.
Still no sure about Bego

Just going to stick your beautiful positivity here Pick. Happy with the point yet really fucked off that we didn't we didn't get three. Should have won that in the first half. The inability to score the second goal has defined the season. First half we played like a team coming for the win, the second half we worried to much about them rather than making them worry about us, which shouldn't be the case when we have an extra man. We weren't outplayed by them but we should have had the positivity to take the game to them and wrap up the three points. Losing Wilson really didn't help, it's easy to forget how important he is for us. The Gardener tackle was atrocious, extremely similar to the tackle which broke Rory's leg. Charlie is a lucky boy.

Pre-Game happy with a point.
1st half we were the better team in terms of quality, didn't create loads, but we were always the more likely & deserved be 1-0 up. That Gardner tackle on Adam was awful, but anyone else think his tackle on Wilko was even worse than that?
2nd half, safe to say Pulis was to blame, some trying blame the players but who is in charge of tactics? & the fact we didn't look like scoring angers me & it's why Pulis MUST go.
Players for me were good today (Deano lost his head 1st half) but overall on the ball we looked good, it was the constant sitting back that has pissed me off.
Also why on earth was Crouch on the pitch for 88 minutes? He did the square root of fuck all. Once again who is in charge to do change?
I'm not even a Pulis hater, far from; but he was the reason why we didn't win today.

Thought we deserved the win to be honest with you and you can't blame Pulis for missing chances. Once they equalised, their 40,000 fans were always going to get behind the team and, let's be honest, they needed the points more than we did. Again, under the pressure (like in the last two games) we've handled ourselves very well. I don't think the players ever really panicked last night and although it was a bit twitchy at the end they never had a clear cut chance apart from Rose's shot that hit the post.
You can say 11 men should always beat 10 but I'd have taken a relatively easy point before the game and we got one. We passed it well at times and created more than they did. To say they outplayed and bossed us is so far wide of the mark it's untrue. We were in complete and utter control for the first 60 minutes before they scored and then it was pretty much even from then on.

I may be wrong (I'm not) but even managers such as Fergie, Wenger and Mourinho have come up short once the opposition had a man sent off. Many say it changes the game, and not always positively for the team with 11.

As well as 10 men, they we're missing 5 of their better players.

Question - Would you have taken 4 points from our last two away games?
Answer - Yes.
