So, if you're still in two minds in regards to which console to buy, here's the three key points:
1) The PS4 is more powerful
2) The PS4 can play used games for free
3) The PS4 is cheaper
Decision. Made.

Sounds like they nailed it. Looks wise it is really similar to the One, but I think the PS4 just about edges it.
I was a Playstation fan boy anyway so it would have taken a huge swing to make me switch to Xbox, but I really can't see this happening now. I can see a hell of a lot more people making the switch the other way now.

Only read through Eurogamer this morning. It took Jack Tretton 2 slides to absolutely decimate Xbox. I've also become quite the Sony fan boy this generation which is strange for a 27 year old after getting burned with a 360 thanks to the red ring and dull exclusive titles (Halo, Gears). Sony have learned a lot from this generation and look to be running into next gen hand in hand with developers and gamers alike. I think PS4 will be the next golden era (like PS2) for console gamers. PC gamers will also thrive from this due to the lack of limitations. Gamers win.
Microsoft can fuck off. There was rumours that devs like EA would have Sony over a barrel to keep their titles on the PS4 if they couldn't agree to the DRM shite that Microsoft are imposing (like how EA are no longer supporting the Wii U), but they've done it, Xbone by name, xboning the consumer by nature.
I did watch the Xbone conference and it was fucking awful bar one game that had my interest, Dead Rising 3 (the last 2 got shite after a few hours but I'm a sucker for a zombie game), but even the janky current gen AI in it put me off. What else? Another dull Halo, a Halo style FPS with Mech suits, another Call of Duty, NFL and NBA cutscenes and a rehearsed Battlefield 4 multiplayer game. Bore off.
I'd suggest the heads will be having an emergency meeting this morning to discuss what can be changed, because they got raped last night. Seeing them clips, with each bit of information it was like shooting at a mangled corpse.Sony can have my money now. And look at the games that are still to come on PS3, absolutely quality games, what's on the agenda for the 360?
-80 quid cheaper than Xbone
-Higher spec
-Upgradable hard drive.
-Region free
-No imposed fee's for second hand games
-No logging in every 24 hours and malfunctioning if you don't.
-It's not a fucking watercooler.
-I haven't even seen the presser yet but note J saying the new IP's looked incredible.NEW INTERESTING IP's!
-Will play PS3, 2 and I'm assuming PS1 games in the near future with Gaikai
-Playing any PS4 game on my Vita whilst taking a shit. WHILST TAKING A SHIT!
-Looks slimmer and sleeker than the xbox, which is just a fucking slab.
The only thing you could say that may be a slight negative is that PS+ will be required to play online, but after seeing how good the service is this year, it's worth every penny.

Microsoft are going to get battered this generation. I'm not a fan boy of either, and I genuinely don't understand why anyone would want a One over the PS4.
Hopefully Microsoft will realise that customers aren't there to be taken for every penny they have.

Looks like it may be a PS4 for me as well. The xbox and 360 both won me over with better games for my tastes but there's no games which grab me enough to make that decision. There's still time to go and microsoft can still make a lot of changes. Microsoft already backtracked over a number of things on windows 8 so it wouldn't surprise me to see it happen again. Still the pricing is insane, it works out we'd be paying about $650 - $700 compared to Americans paying $500. Which is pretty strange because you know the xbox is going to break into the Japanese market with any success so Europe would surely be pretty important to them.

I like the look of Beyond but the more I see of David Cage, the less I like him. Same with Hideo Kojima. Two game designers that want to be Hollywood Directors that need to learn to let other people have their input. Will still give it a go as Heavy Rain was ace. MGS5 also looks the bomb.
Destiny looks good. You know Destiny? It's an exclusive from Bungie, them guys that made Halololol.
Pre-ordered the PS4 this morning. I've got a feeling they will run out of stock this time.

Thing is, I don't think there will be a learning curve like the last generation because devs will already be used to the architecture, so we should be getting great games from launch, which hasn't happened with the last 2 Playstation's.
My only concern is how long it'll take it'll take to implement Gaikai for PS3 streaming, as GTA 5 comes out in September, GT6 must be there about's and the last of us, it's not a great deal of time to get a good play through of them. Ideally I'd want to sell the PS3 before getting the PS4.
