I was in Kent this week and thought I would have loads of real ale-Shepherd Neame is brewed in the county.
Spent most of my time though drinking Sharp's Doombar from Cornwall,it was everywhere.

If you want my advice then handlebars are very important. Don't go down any hills with out them fitted to your bike. Hope this helps. The Holy Inadequate is supposed to be a great pub but drink the beer instead of filling your boots with it. Wet feet isn't a good thing. Some top tips on this thread so far, T4P ;D

Dusted it off tonight for the first time this year and put almost four miles on it which left me a physical wreck; a sorry state of affairs.

Mountain Bikes were made so cyclists could fall from great heights.

I went on the road bike today for the first time in ages, managed 20 miles. Doesn't sound too bad until I realize I was doing 40 miles a day, 4 days a week last summer.

Just done 21 miles tonight, very fucked but enjoyed it.
Had a KFC for dinner so I guess I'm kind of balanced out. The bacon n egg buttie I've got planned for supper might fuck it up a bit though.

Out of interest, where are you cycling? Nothing gay, like. Just wondering. You could be cycling round the block 100 times but I expect you've found somewhere more interesting?

Just the old railway lines and towpaths round SoT, sometimes forests n quarries etc... The flatter the better!

I like the idea of cycling along the canals. Is there a path down to the canal by the Brit?

Can't stand the fumes and stress of cycling near motorists.

First bike riding this year just.
Round Westport lake 6 times; I then undid all my hard work by riding round the opposite direction another 6 times.

Fucking puncture 5 miles from home today on only its second outing of 2015; cycling gods are testing me I've reluctantly purchased a bell for my manly bike too, pedestrians & dogs keep getting in my bastard way. I asked for a bell for an adults bike in the shop and he gave me a few options to which I replied... "Have you got anything a little less gay?" Shop man... "More descrete you mean sir?" ;D

I don't like riding in the roads; boring, dangerous and not that relaxing / picturesque. I don't like wearing a helmet either.

I saw some Chinese due in a fighter pilot style helmet with a visor, I thought it well stylish. Them new Mich (?) style combat helmets are cool too for cycling as they have all manner of rails and stuff for attaching gizmos too.
