I've used crouch before though quite a lot in a 442 and he always scored headers from crosses and corners. Think that stat is bollocks tbh It's not bollocks, if you think about what makes someone good in the air it would strength, jumping, power and accuracy. Imagine if Crouch was 6"0, he would be shit in the air, hence why his heading stat is low because it doesn't factor in height.

Think that stat is bollocks tbh It isn't though ;D Zigic - 27 jumping, 85 strength,71 heading accuracy so he has 64 heading overall Tim Cahill - 96 jumping, 73 strength, 93 heading accuracy so 89 heading overall Players like Crouch/Zigic have low heading stat because they're 6ft 8 so they dont need to jump, they will still when 90% o0f headers because theyre 6ft 8 but because of low jumping their stat is low

Even so. The stat is named 'heading' and crouch is good at heading. He should be higher imo

Even so. The stat is named 'heading' and crouch is good at heading. He should be higher imo You're not getting this. His heading is 77, his strength and jumping makeup the actualy over headingability on the UT card. Pace is speed/agility/acceleration Shooting is finishing, power, curve, FK's, long shots, volleys Passing is short, long, vision Defending is stand tackle, slide, marking, aggression, interceptions Dribbling is ball control, dribbling and so on Crouch isn't that good at heading in real life, he only wins a few because of height. He isn't strong, he's not that good at jumping so these stats are low. However he does score headers because of his height so he has decent accuracy. All together this gives him a medioce heading abilty, which is about right, but on the game, and in real life, he wins a lot because he's tall. Someone like Tim Cahill who has high jumping, high strength and high accuracy will have high overall heading ability because he is actually a monster in the air.

Career mode budgets:
Team - Transfers - Wages Man City - £76.5m - £2.5m Chelsea - £42.5m - £2.25m Man Utd - £29.5m - £2.5m Arsenal - £23m - £1.8m Spurs - £21m - £1.7m Liverpool - £18m - £1.7m Newcastle - £14.5m - £1.2m Sunderland - £14.5m - £0.6m Stoke City - £13.5m - £0.7m Fulham - £12.5m - £0.8m Everton - £11m - £1m Aston V - £11m - £0.9m West Ham - £8m - £0.55m West Brom - £7.5m - £0.5m Swansea - £7m - £0.7m Southampton - £7m - £0.5m Norwich - £6.5m - £0.5m Palace - £6m - £0.26m Cardiff - £5.5m - £0.35m Hull - £5.5m - £0.35m
Decent amount! I suppose if you shift out players like Crouch, Etherington, Palacios, Edu then your wage budget will fly up and you'd have nearly 20m,and you can also use that bar to balance between them.

One word to sum it up: Clunky
I like certain aspects like the game feeling like you've got to build up the play and how it doesn't feel like an arcade game but there's just no excitement there. When you give the ball to top players like Bale/Aguero/Toure/Silva, you want your team to feel like it's ready to go up a gear or two but it just remains in this clunky, one paced tedium
I haven't seen one decent first touch. One instance that's fresh in my memory was a throw in to Yaya Toure and it bounced straight off his foot and straight back out for a throw in to Spurs. That'd never happen with Yaya Toure
Tackling appears the same which is good but regardless of the pace of the ball/tackle, the ball seems to travel miles away every single time without any rules of physics applied
All players have the turning circle of a large city, even nippy players such as Silva/Navas/Aguero all turn horribly slow
I took the lead after a lovely, patient, passing build up. I had to probe a lot, waiting for the right moment, and eventually it came when Navas made a really intelligent run behind the defence and stroked it underneath the onrushing keeper. That got big thumbs up, no twatting it over the top to a pacy forward anymore by the looks of it
But then, it went and let itself down again.. three players go for a tackle about 30 yards out from my goal and somehow it's become a through ball. Now, at this point, Kompany being the top defender he is would simply come across and cut it out with ease. Infact, any defender with an ounce of awareness would do this but nope, Kompany appears to be running away from the ball leaving Dembele a simple one on one as Hart hasn't even realised that the game his defenders have left him completely in the shit either
There's a lot of work to be done on this game, looks like I'll be leaving it this year seeing as GTA V looks massive and I simply won't be able to invest huge amounts of time on it

The demo seems to be shit every year, then they make some last minute tunes and changes. Every year the PES fans are like "YES THIS IS THE YEAR! FUCK YES!" only for the final game to come out and then PES is still worse. I think PES is now developed by a team of people with Phil Jones mental capacity, which is a shame. Decent competition tends to make better games.
I have to agree with the first touch though, I played a game with Barcelona and Messi brought the ball down and there was no 'close control' at all, the ball was brought down about two feet away from him, and a defender just took it off him with ease. Again when dribbling, unless its the LT walking dribble or LB zimmerframe dribble there is no way to tell the ball is at the feet of one of the worlds greatest dribblers.
The most effective way is still to hold both triggers and then flick the right stick as that some reason puts the opposition defender in retard mode and wrong foots him, or just get alongside with a faster player and double flick the right stick knowing that as you have the faster player its a formality.

Agree on the dribbling, to get round players just use a simple shoulder faint/ball roll or use precision dribbling, then when in space you can just go.
I like how pace isnt as important, and strength seems majorly more important. Alex whos around 55pace but 90 strength is deadling with Neymar/Messi easily when they come up against him but then through balls still kill defenders especially with Navas/Auba/Kuba/Neymar burning through.
For me tackling is a lot different, more about timing you cant just fly in and win the ball.
And agree on the build up play SRF, but I still think UT will be faster and more paced. Demo always seems slow because its H2H gameplay.
Dont agree on the first touch though, I've seem some class 40yard pinged through balls brought down superbly by Ibra/Neymar and others but then at the same time it can let them down, realistic though. You can use the right analog to control a first touch, so if youre through you can flick it forward and run on or flick it inside or out on the wing etc.
Shooting is much improved too, more variation.
Like Santy says though, demo is always miles from the real thing, especially UT

Not too impressed, prefer the PES one.
Don't think I'll buy it for a while, not exactly swimming in cash at the moment and with £35 going on GTA I think I've got what I need in terms of games until Christmas.

If they're over 80pace in a big league then theyre worth a bit, or Prem players, keep them til game comes out. Teams so far after quick selling the shit and buying some players
