Joshua looked good against a bloke that took Hughie Fury the distance-shows what you lads know about boxing.
The prizefighter heavyweight contest was quite good-better than most.

Joshua is a fine, fine man. I'd take a shot in the face from him anytime. (I thought the fight was a bit rubbish though but that's what we'll get for the next few fights whilst he goes through the division...) You'd let him spunk in your face? that's how I've read it p)

Didn't get to see it last night, but is all rounds under his belt and experience which is what he needs at the min.

Joshua looked good against a bloke that took Hughie Fury the distance-shows what you lads know about boxing. It shows what little you know about boxing when you think "Joshua looked good against a bloke that took Hughie Fury the distance" was significant enough to say when determining Joshua's potential. Even though Hughie Fury beat him with ease, winning every round, it says more about his KO inability than anything else (he's only put people away in just over half of his fights). Look at the Croatian's record, his 5 wins: Bekric (debut) - in some gym in Croatia. Bekric again (W0-L1-D0) - in that gym in Croatia again. Cukusic (W7-L73!!!-D4) - in that gym in Croatia again. Bozinovic (W0-L7-D0) - in that Croatian gym again. Bozinovic again (W0-L9-D0) - in that Croatian gym again. He's lost every other fight that he's had. The guy is a bum that has only beat nobodies down the gym. Joshua put him away with ease but anybody his size should have, even without boxing experience. Freddie Flintoff would have "looked good against that bloke that took Hughie Fury the distance", cheers for the insight though.

What are peoples thoughts about Froch v Groves?
Think it's a step way too far for Groves. I didn't think he'd even beaten De Gale. Still looking forward to it though, can't beat a good domestic scrap.

Still looking forward to it though, can't beat a good domestic scrap. Saw a puff piece on Froch on Sky today and he came across pretty well. Lovely wife! The bloke he fought, Paul Butlin, is a bum, a tough bum, but still a bum. Wouldn't be surprised if it was in his contract (and most of his contracts) that he couldn't spoil the fight - "Come for a decent purse, absolutely no holding or leaning, try to get past the first round, good luck. Eddie Hearn" - so it was never getting past the first couple of rounds, should have put a few grand on it. I'm always intrigued by these cannon fodder type opponents, Uncs. What is a good purse for these guys who just come along to lose and speed a guy's win record along a bit?

Still looking forward to it though, can't beat a good domestic scrap. Froch will batter him, there's no one more dangerous than a pissed off Carl Froch looking to prove a point. I'm torn between wanting Froch to embarrass Groves by winning in the 1st Round or completely outboxing him and battering him for 11 Rounds before knocking him out in the 12th.

Think I'd like the battering, finished by Froch sparking him out late on!

Groves has made a right arse of himself in some of the pre-fight banter (banter? is that right?) The interview with the two of them on the Sky boxing programme about 3 weeks ago where Groves kept asking Froch if he was going to cry was just downright wierd. Froch will toy with him like a cat with a spider and then knock the fucker out in round 6-ish. Super disappointed that Joshua isn't fighting though

I don't really know to be honest, it's never something that's out there for the public. The only thing that I really know is that Prizefighter tourneys pay really well and you get about £8k for making the last 4 in that and £32k for winning it. I don't think there's much money at all for a pro fighter without any career-hype, don't think many people make a living from it without running a gym or something else on the side. I'd guess that Joshua will be getting about £3-8k for his early fights and his bum opponents maybe a couple of grand.

Groves calling Froch "boy" was just embarrassing, he's going to get absolutely battered on Saturday.

I can see Froch going out and doing what he did to Bute on him.
Joke of a PPV, fuck Eddie Hearn. Cunt.
