I dont mind losing or drawing, unless we play with no fight, spirit or ambition to win.
We seem to have spells were we"ll just go completely off the boil and cant be arsed, nothing grinds my gears more than watching us sulking about.
The other thing is pressure off the ball, we're fucking horrible. Teams only need to stroll through midfield and they're in on goal.
And scoring- just dont know what the fuck to say about that, we're fucked in that regard.
Spineless, spineless shit at times. And completely blunt. We could be playing till 10 on our own and still miss the fucking target.
Positives- Bego is here for at least another 2 months and some of our build up play is nice.

It was pretty poor today but we're hardly fucked. There are obvious changes that need to be made, especially with how we are set up and playing at home.

We are a poor side that cant score goals and half the players dont look arsed, I think this will be the season we drop. We will lose next week and week after is Southampton at home who are playing really well Taking one point out of Norwich, Fulham and West Brom is piss poor, especially when Norwich and Fulham are both wank.

You thought that "this will be the season we drop" last season and also the season before Pick. It could be a long season though unless we find a different way of playing at home, away from home the current formation isn't that bad but maybe it's time for two centre forwards in home games.

Who would be the 2 up front though? Walters and Jones? Arnie-Ireland-NZonzi-Assaidi KJ-Walters Not sure about that at all. But what we have now is doing fuck all! Dilemma.

I don't think we are a poor side either. We're a side with a new manager, evolving and trying to find a rhythm which is to be expected after only 8 league games after almost 10 years under a different manager. We were never going to be the finished article straight away. If you look at the games this season :
Liverpool - Good Palace -Poor first half, good second West ham - Great Man City - Great Arsenal - Poor first half, good second. Norwich - Awful. Fulham - Good performance, deserved to win. WBA - Poor performance
So a real mixed bag so far. It's obvious we need more attacking threat and I'm sure we'll sort that in Jan but give us time. If we're still where we are at the end of Jan then we need to panic.

I'd definitely consider Walters and Jones up top together. Proven partnership with supply from the wings, which we have. Walters will drop back into CM and work harder than Adam, while still posing a threat up top.

Thing is though, maybe not the setup, but the squad constantly changes each home game. This was probably our strongest side with the exception of Geoff starting. West Brom weren't exactly on fire either, we should have buried the game by half time.
I agree with Pick, 1 point out of the 3 bread and butter games is fucking atrocious. I think we'll end up 16th, which I'd snap your hand off for.
It's really starting to piss me off that now, you don't have to do much to get something at Stoke. You're almost guaranteed a point as long as you turn up.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. We are paying the price for not paying the money required to get a striker worthy of the name. Crouchies interests now lie elsewhere, mainly in his supposed media involvement in the future. Jones is just a big lazy lump and they both need fucking right off as far away from Stoke as possible. It's going to be a tough time until January, by which time it may be too late

Built a solid squad and now adding real quality in key areas. We have to be doing similar from now on! A striker and defensive destroyer (aka fer/Wanyama!)

We had the chance to go for Wanyama as we did many others. The ONLY difference was that we were not prepared to pay the going rate for quality and I don't blame MH for this at all, and if Coates etc think we are going to steal Diouff or anyone else come January he is deluded. Other teams will take the players and where we will probably be in the table come January will also mean that the better players will not come anyway. This problem is Stokes making. We have made shit purchases for too much money (Crouch, KJ, Palacios etc) and now PC has tightened his arsehole.
