Hughes has just done the presser. wall.stokecityfc.com/Event/Stoke_City_FCMH: "We can't just keep on patting ourselves on the back for performing well, but not taking any points. It is important to get results. Football is a results driven business, and we know that we have to start turning very good performances into good results. We are capable of doing that. A win tomorrow would be a good boost for us all." MH: "Robert Huth is a doubt for us, because of the challenge he received on Saturday, Glenn Whelan is a bit tight too and Andy Wilkinson has an issue with his knee. We will assess all of the players over the next few hours and then make a decision on the team." MH: "We will be strong on Tuesday - I always pick strong sides for cup games. It's a competition that we want to progress in, so we will go to Birmingham and look to win the game, and secure a spot in the last eight." Goarnn Stoke. Great opportunity to progress and put a few past these absolute bunch of cunts.

He definitely has a more refreshing, positive approach when compared to TP.

I'd be tempted to play a rotated team. Sorro Wilko Shawcross Muniesa Wilson Palacios Whelan Pennant Ireland Ethers Shea

I would play Shea on the left, think his confidence levels are too low to lead the line. I would pick the same team as Sam but Brek on the left and the miserable whinging jeb end Kenwyne up top, actually no I would keep Crouchy in, if he scores again his confidence levels will go up and hopefully he'll go on a run. He played well against Man U. Probably keep Huth in if he's fit with Muniesa at left back too.
So apart from those changes the exact same team. ;D

I'd be tempted to play a rotated team. Sorro Wilko Shawcross Muniesa Wilson Palacios Whelan Pennant Ireland Ethers Shea I strongly doubt Palacios will be able to play two games within a few days of eachother so go Huth at centre back, Muniesa at left back and Wilson in midfield and I reckon that's how we'll lineup. However, if Palacios plays then I'm really glad he's obviously getting fit again. Thought he played alright at Old Trafford for someone who hasn't regularly played week in, week out for over two years now.

I thought he was excellent as the sitting CM at Old Trafford. Didn't put a foot wrong in the first half and moves the ball so much quicker than N'Zonzi it's unreal. He also moves it forward. If I'd be fine if either Muniesa moved into midfield or LB (I left Huth out with him apparently still recovering from Little Cunt's 'challenge'). With Geoff also still coming back from an injury I thought it'd be good to rest him as well so I'd rather have Muniesa in CB than Wilson. Otherwise I wouldn't mind Ness (trying) to get 50-60 minutes in CM.

Ness, Shea, Edu, Muniesa, Assaidi and Sorensen could all do with some game time, but Hughes has said he'll put out a strong team so can't see how they would all play.
Think Muniesa definitely deserves a start, would like to see Assaidi too.

Wilko's injury ;D I'd probably be in bed crying for days but no doubt Wilko will play and smash up a few Brummies

Just down the road for me so I've got my tickets. In with the Blues fans so won't be able to celebrate when we win, but win we will. Hope you are safe there mate. Those inbred pigstickers can be a tad nasty when they outnumber you

Anyone else a little bit excited with that team? Plenty of attacking outlets there. Glad a strong team has been picked. Wouldn't like to be a birmingham defender tonight!

Team looks so much more exciting when Walters isn't there.

Most exciting, attacking starting XI for a long, long time.
Should give Marko the freedom to go anywhere he wants which will hopefully suit him.
Can't wait to see a Crouch/Zigic aerial dual!
