A late winner for us would be sterling

Ref didn't even want to give that....
The man is a joke.

How does that not come to one of the 5 players 6 yards out?!

We have to try something different at home now surely? This formation isn't working.

Didn't really create anything clear cut.
Can't help but think we missed Walters

We kind of did alright going forward without creating anything clear cut.
Crouch won everything, Adam looked good at times. The wingers didn't get into the game enough for me, and neither did the fullbacks.

As boring as the scoreline suggests?

One of the most frustrating games ever that. My frustration started to build quite early on when the referee kept stamping out our momentum with his shit decisions. Most of them against Crouch for having the audacity to be wrestled to the ground whilst trying to get on the end of a cross and we'd have to start all over again.
What the fuck did the ref have against Crouch anyway? Kept penalising him for being fouled in the area and then booked him because Adam pushed Campbell over near him. Pretty harsh on Crouchy really. I wonder if Mike Riley will ring him up in the week to apologise.
A stronger ref would have given us a decision for the wrestling earlier on and we'd have gone on to comfortably win because it was so blatantly obvious what was happening, their players weren't even looking at the ball, just tangling themselves up with the lanky bastard. Took 86 minutes for this clown to realise what they were doing when they brought down Arnie outside of the box - I'm sure if it would've happened inside the box it would have been a free-kick the other way for some reason mind. To top the inept officials' night off, that last minute corner decision, where their keeper caught the cross and walked it about 4 yards over the line for a goal-kick... un-fucking-believable.

So, positives:
1) We didn't lose. 2) We're up to 14th. 3) Four points above the relegation zone.

Reminds me of the Wigan home games. Always go into it thinking it's one you should win but somehow you just never can! Watch us batter Chelsea now.

"@eplindex: #SCFC 0 #CCFC 0 FT Possession%: 59-41 | Passes: 481-318 | Accuracy%: 77-70 | Final 3rd: 150-88 | Accuracy%: 65-55 | Shots: 17(2)-14(3)"
So, better in every stat (well nearly) , and yet still shit? And yet we were worse continuously the last few seasons stat wise in every conceivable way yet folk weren't all walking out on 80 minutes (even when losing, never mind drawing).
Fuck knows the answer to all this, it just seems totally devoid of anything cohesive that can be done to put it right.

Without missing any major decisions, he was a fucking woeful impression of a referee.

" NorthStokie: Assaidi had most tackles, the most key passes, the most shots and a 91% pass accuracy yet some still slagging him for not beating 3 markers"

Nearly a third of our passes were in the final third which shows we're definitely playing higher up and trying to do something positive but we're lacking in that final third massively. There's no movement, pace, willingness to get into goalscoring positions so in the end we're just fucking around with it and not looking dangerous.
It's a sign of change but without someone who can change the tempo of a move, a Fuller type, it's utterly pointless in the end.
We look utterly fucking toothless though, it doesn't take any stats to realise that.

" NorthStokie: Assaidi had most tackles, the most key passes, the most shots and a 91% pass accuracy yet some still slagging him for not beating 3 markers" I'm completely undecided with him, sometimes he looks gutless, the next I'm sympathising with him for not having anyone bursting into the box to aim for. Need a bit more time methinks.

Hughes: "I thought we did well up to a point - at the top end which is a problem for us. But in terms of controlling the game I thought we did well we were the only team likely to win the game.
"In terms of performance I thought we stuck at it without creating too many clear cut chances. "
"We're disappointed not to win the game, I thought our performance merited that. I don't recall too many chances for them but I thought we stuck at it.
"We have got to keep our home form nice and solid, we have been decent enough but we need to take maximum points."
