I watched a pretty even game by both sides with them scoring 2 quality strikes and us missing our half chances. Why all the hate all over? Are we as poor a supported club as there is at the moment? I think it's probably because our supporters see the likes of Wigan, Swansea, Birmingham City etc winning trophies and get pissed off that it never seems to be us. To be honest, I can understand this. I wouldn't go so far as to go nuts on a messageboard about Walters or Hughes or the whole team in general, like some people do, but I definitely understand the frustration that prompts these reactions.

It certainly showed what a presence Fonz is in our midfield.

It's not a new thing though is it? I can understand how we went out with a bit of a whimper in God awful conditions but it's a Stoke thing, we're not a club who wins trophies sadly and I'll never expect us to, regardless of teams like Swansea, Wigan and Birmingham winning them recently.

Thought it was a game with two sides performing below their best, which was decided by two moments of quality. Unfortunately our piece of quality, (Pieter's unbelievable cross for Walters,) wasn't capitalised on, so we lost. Nothing to get too annoyed or upset about, just need to hope Shawcross will be fit for Villa. Spot on.
