Probably from running around like idiots for 50 minutes with 9 men on boxing day, then not keeping the ball for more than 30 seconds today!

That's what happens when you have to travel 700 miles in 72 hours and play 60 minutes with 9 men. Shafted before we'd even begun.

I'd written this one off after Boxing Day. 8 conceded in 2 games and 2 shite referees.
Merry Christmas.

We just need to hope we can nick a win against either of the scouse teams or a couple of draws. Then pray we can beat Palace away.

You know what, we really shouldn't have beaten Chelsea, I think that annoyed a lot of influential people!
2 dismissals, 3 penalties against, Merry Xmas Stoke.

I hope no other teams were watching that because Spurs just gave everybody else in the league another lesson on how to beat us, not that Martinez needed one.
Norwich, Southampton and now Spurs didn't give us a second on the ball and we couldn't cope. I don't remember us having the ball for more than a few seconds without it going to a Spurs player or the referee blowing for a foul, they looked like they had ball-magnets in their strips and we had ball-repellents (or a panicky touch), great performance from them and a torrid showing from us. Just press us really aggressively and we're all over the shop.
I was hoping that we'd have developed a plan B for that by now. Hughes needs to ring his old pal Tony 'press us and we'll bypass you' Pulis for a bit of advice.

Shafted by dodgy refs, we looked tired, not surprising really against the talent they have.

time to look at MH performance as a manager! anyone want a wager that CP will beat Stoke and then maybe people will start to think - SCFC board wanted a different style of football - well we have it - called pants! MH about as inspiring as trotts

MH about as inspiring as trotts You're right, he's had 19 games now, that's more than enough time to judge his performance as a manager. We're only 12th! The way he goes on about 'slow progress' this and 'moving in the right direction' that, anybody would think that we were sitting pretty in 11th place. Well no, we're 12th, and if you forget about 13th-20th, we're bottom. Maybe people will start to realise what we had under TP, inspiring football, away wins galore and a top half finish guaranteed. No doubt Palace will beat us down there, proving that something something something something once and for all.
