Wasn't our best player but wasn't bad, and he does more defensively than I was expecting. Agree that he gives us something different, in the second half he managed to get behind the defender and onto the end of a through ball, then put in a good cross which Crouch nearly got on the end of. We haven't had a player do that down the right for a long time.
I think he'll just need a few games to get back to his best and hopefully he'll start grabbing a few goals.
Also, at the end he looked absolutely thrilled, he was beaming, which is good to see.

There's a post match thread on there that makes for pleasant bed time reading. It's moments like this that make the dirge worthwhile. Soak it in chaps.

Bego's save at the end was the difference between a world class 'keeper like him and a good 'keeper like De Gea. Those fingertips just stretching out is the difference. Keeping hold of him could be the difference that keeps us up. That's one of the main reasons I think the transfer window was much better than we gave credit for at first. Any number of top, world class teams could quite conceivably have come in for him and we would have struggled to have kept hold of him if we'd got a silly offer.

I just read the whole thread pissing myself laughing ;D The difference between a forum like this and that one is staggering in terms of the mongaloid level. Just pages of utterly inane, illiterate, ill informed comments. Very amusing. Although actually....

I'm not going to even stoop to watching that, but I did wack my dick on the screen a few times and not in a good way, eg when confronted by that pic of Jennifer hunger games
