Bit the bullet on washing machine, I've self diagnosed a fucked PCB which will be +£100 plus labour. New washer is +£300.
I've signed up to a hotpoint service agreement at £15 pcm for a year, They're coming fix it Thursday and if they can't, they will buy me a new one!
Anyone know how to sabotage a washing machine?

The classic breeze block technique springs to mind.
Probably need a new kitchen by the time it's finished but that's better than having to buy a new washer in my book.

Tap's been leaking and valve seized; british gas homecare can sort this fucker out (that's why I pays me money!). Fridge freezer has been nursed for months, fecking door fell off tonight , new one ordered at considerable expense. Sometimes, make do & mend hits its limits.

Repaired my fridge the other day. The door wouldn't close properly. After swearing at it and trying to slam the door I realised that the rubber seal on the bottom of the door was falling off. Double sided sticky tape fixed the problem. Fridge should be good for a few years yet.
Result!

The moral of the story is double sided sticky tape is fantastic.
Did you try that Mr Jones?

Repair the tap yourself you big hom, needs a new spindle, get one from B&Q for a couple of quid, it will take 5 minutes and you will feel proper manly too

I've still only got one arm too so it pays to pay someone sometimes.... I'm not paying homecare and not using it; that's a bit like why I run my taps occasionally just for fun as I'm not metered.

just fixed the tumble dryer, kept on saying 'empty water tank' but it was empty. I found another very small tank with a float switch in that made a contact to an alarm, the float was stuck up a bit, freed it and now works a treat. Money Ive saved on Beko repair man will go to beer, pie and chips at the match today
