Kebab - skewered chicken, tomato, onion dusted with chili & garlic, shrooms for the missus too - almost wish I liked shrooms!

The neighbour had a cheap BBQ and the bottom fell out depositing a lot of burning charcoal onto his deck which caught fire. Most amusing. Now has a deck with a unique piece of decoration on it.

Double bbq days this weekend, gasser both times.
The usual burgers (cheese & bacon obvs), sausage, chicken skewers the piece de resistance...
King prawns with toasted sesame oil and chili flakes; delightful!

I use lump wood, nd the fucking thing went out mid cook!
How is this possible? The BBQ wasn't rained on but there was a lot if food on such a small thing.

Low calorific value of the lumpwood? humidity? Small BBQ : Big food ratio? Shit wood? |
