Reckon the current bottom three could already be the end of season bottom three. Possibly QPR spending their way out and replaced by Man Utd?

Diouf will come good. As soon as the three behind him start firing he'll be fine and grab a few.
He absolutely had James Chester on toast before he got sent off.

A good point but there's a hell of a lot of room for improvement, especially with the players.
Good sides have to sometimes grind out results from nowhere and that's what we did to an extent today.

Diouf is the new scapegoat then?

Diouf is the new scapegoat then? Apparently so, only took two games where the entire side has been poor as well. Some of our fans are an embarrassment.

If today gets given as an own goal he's our joint top scorer.

Diouf is the new scapegoat then? He follows a long and illustrious line of players Stoke fans love to hate.

He'll score 10-15 league goals this season and they'll value him at around £25m.
Don't really understand why he's getting so much stick, he's barely had any service and spent about half of his two games so far out on the wings. He just needs time to adjust and he'll be fine.

Well that didn't go to plan did it? As a few others have said, I think it's just a case of getting the players to gel together. New members in the squad need time to get the best from their performances and existing players need to build footballing relationships with them. Some of the things being said about Diouf are unfounded and unfair. Look at Crouchy, he can go 4 or 5 games without a goal and no one would say a thing, our leading scorer last season. If you'd actually watched Diouf the past 2 games (I mean with and without the ball) he's been making good movement into spaces between defenders and causing havoc in defences. The thing is, he hasn't been played in with a defence splitting pass. If the ref hadn't blown up in the 1st 10 mins for a foul against him when all he did was shield the ball from the defender he'd of had a free run at goal 1 on 1 with the keeper, I honestly believe he would have had a goal to his name and we would be looking at a very different picture. It will all come together. Have faith

Strangely enough, I think playing against ten men actually made today harder for us. It meant Hull sat back like Villa did last week and we lacked the nous to get in behind them. Before the sending off we actually looked more likely to score than we did afterwards.
I won't make up my mind on Diouf just yet, but on the evidence of the games so far Crouch is a better option against a packed defence. He and Adam are too important as a plan b for us to consider letting them go this window.
I'm still not convinced by Bardsley's on the ball abilities but I believe it was his shot that lead to our goal- would Cameron have had a go from the same position?
Pieters and Arnautovic poor again. We could do with Moses hitting the ground running to give us another option because playing one man up top only works when both wingers are causing problems. Odemwingie faded as the game went on but looked 10x better than either Diouf or Bojan did out wide against Villa.
Bojan was better playing through the middle/in a free role but we looked a little frail defensively with him, Adam and NZonzi on together. I thought Sidwell was steady but we looked visibly poorer when Whelan went off.

Completely agree Dharms. Ironically Man City away will probably suit us much better, it will be much more open.

I don't know what Cameron has done to be dropped, not altogether convinced by Bardsley. I have been watching Diouf and he's constantly finding positions or chasing defenders down. He looked good when he had that chance in the first 10 minutes, we need that strength. But he did put his left foot in to take the defender down.
As a team we were fucking dreadful yesterday. So many passes going to no one or going out (Wingie passing to an open space, Bego putting a dead ball out for a throw) and can fuck off Arnautovic dragging his bollocks around. He gets too many free passes because of the occasional bit of brilliance. We cant go many more games looking so lackluster, we lucked out robbing the point yesterday. Back to basics.
I had a feeling as soon as that lad was sent off that it'd take a lot to grab a point, having 10 men usually means a team become resilient, or fall flat on their arse.
Our record at Man City is piss and I'm expecting nothing but a 100% improved performance from 8 or 9 of the players.

Cameron missed almost the entire pre season, Hughes was pretty much forced not to start him.

Diouf is the new scapegoat then? He follows a long and illustrious line of players Stoke fans love to hate. Big difference between hating a player and pointing out the facts that he doesn't justify starting.Making up that he was doing this and will do this and that don't make him better. He should start tonight and if no improvement we can't play him Saturday surely. Revert back to end of last season or thereabouts as it was going fine
